Bangladesh beat West Indies by seven wickets in first ODI at Khulna


As many had predicted that the hosts would be more comfortable taking on the visitors in the ODIs than the test matches they lost, the prediction came out to be true. In the first ODI, the hosts beat West Indies by a big margin of seven wickets at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Friday.


Batting first the visitors were all out for 199 in 46.5 overs. Ghazi took four wickets for 29 while Razzak took three wickets for 39 runs.Gayle(35), Bravo(35) and Narine(36) were the only three batsmen who crossed 30s.

Responding to the challenge, the home team reached the target in just 40.2 overs and scored 201 for the loss of three wickets. Tamim scored 58 and Islam was 50 still on the crease when the target was reached. Narine, Sammy and Russel took one wicket each.
