Top 10 Amazing Cheerleaders of NFL - 2013

There were times when sports activities were restricted to the activities reveloving around the players and atheletes inside the arena with fans and crowds clapping and shouting to boost the morale of their teams and favourites player or athelete.

But then came the Cheerleaders - young girls clad in fascinating and gaudy attire appeared on the sports arena, originally in the USA. And then other countries followed the suit too and now these smiling cheerleaders can be found even in sports like cricket and football around the world. In fact, the presentation of cheerleading as a sport to a global audience was led by the 1997 start of broadcasts of cheerleading competition by ESPN International and the worldwide release of the 2000 film 'Bring It On.'

As an estimate, over 1.5 million girls perform as cheerleaders in USA alone.

Berlin Marathon - Watch Free Live Streaming Online: Sunday 29 September 2013

Here comes the Berlin Marathon - or the BMW Berlin Marathon for sponsorship reasons, which is a major running and sporting event held annually in Berlin, Germany. The marathon will commence in the streets of Berlin on Sunday today commencing 07:45 GMT.

Runners from 119 countries have registered for the 41,120 places in Sunday's race.

The official marathon distance of 42.195 kilometers (26 miles 385 yards) is set up as a city-wide road race where professional athletes and amateur runners jointly participate. First initiated in 1974, the event traditionally takes place on the last weekend in September.

The world record of 2hrs 3mins and 38 seconds was set by Kenya's Patrick Makau in Berlin two years ago, the eighth time a marathon record has been broken in the German capital. Although Kenyans Wilson Kipsang, Geoffrey Kipsang and Eliud Kipchoge are the runners to beat, there are three Kenyans who are very talented athletes and could claim glory for themselves - these include Stephen Chemlany (with a personal best of 2:07:55), Eliud Kiptanui and Sharon Cherop.

However, this year's race has some bad news as death of a 71-year-old inline skater on the Berlin marathon course has cast a shadow over Sunday's race through the German capital.

The inline skater died 15 kilometres into the race over 42.195kms (26.2miles) on Saturday, the curtain-raiser to Sunday's run through Berlin and no further details have been released.

It may b e added that it is the second death by a hobby athlete in the German capital this year after a 25-year-old collapsed and died while running in April's half marathon.

The marathon is scheduled for Sunday 29 September at 06:45 (GMT 0).
