Pakistan vs Sri Lanka: Second Test Match - Dubai | Watch Free Live Streaming - 8-12 January 2014

Pakistan hosts Sri Lanka for the second cricket test match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium (neutral venue) from January 8-12, starting Wednesday today.

Both teams played a drawn first test match at Abu Dhabi last week, despite Pakistan's superb first innings and bowling that contained the Lankans in their first innings. But it was the second innings in which Sri Lankan team showed much resilience and gave a tall score to chase - which due to scarcity of time, Pakistan was unable to chase and the macth ended in a draw.

The pitch in Dubai is expected to turn and likely to help the spinners. Pakistan's ace spinner, who could not get anything in the first test as the p[itch was non-cooperting for the spinners. Ajmal's 49 wicketless overs in the second innings in Abu Dhabi gave the visiting batsmen an extended view of his variations. But it is expected that Dubai pitch will be spinner friendly and Arnold and Ajmal are likely to shine. Saeed Ajmal has 34 wickets in Dubai at 20.11. Rangana Herath has three at 39.33.

As many as five Test matches have been played at Dubai International Stadium with four ending up with a result. With the series locked at 0-0, a draw obviously will not be a satisfying result for both teams.

The probable opposing teams for the second test match at Dubai may be as under:

Pakistan: Misbah-ul-Haq*, Abdur Rehman, Adnan Akmal†, Ahmed Shehzad, Asad Shafiq, Azhar Ali, Junaid Khan, Khurram Manzoor, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Talha, Rahat Ali, Saeed Ajmal, Shan Masood, Umar Gul, Younis Khan

Sri Lanka: AD Mathews*, LD Chandimal, RMS Eranga, N Pradeep, MVT Fernando, HMRKB Herath, DPMD Jayawardene, HAPW Jayawardene†, FDM Karunaratne, KMDN Kulasekara, RAS Lakmal, MDK Perera, MDKJ Perera, KC Sangakkara, SMSM Senanayake, JK Silva

Umpires BNJ Oxenford and S Ravi

The second test match is scheduled for Jan 8-12, 2014 daily at (10:00 local | 06:00 GMT | 11:00 PKT) at  Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Australia vs Sri Lanka: Watch Live Free Streaming | 2nd Test Melbourne 26 (Boxing Day)-30 December

Right on the next day of Christmas, that is the Boxing Day, hosts Australia take on the touring Islanders Sri Lanka in the second test match at Melbourne.
Australia lead the three test-matches series by 1-0. They beat Sri Lanka by 137 runs in Hobart.

The test match is scheduled from 26 December to 30 December, which means the match is sandwiched between the Christmas and the New Year.

This is the second time that Sri Lankans are starting a test match on the Boxing Day against Australia - the first was long time back in 1995, that resulted in a 10-wicket defeat in 1995 for the visitors. Would the Sri Lankans be keeping the defeat in mind and kind of taking a revenge?

Mahela Jayawardene does not think so:
"I think we've been through a lot of hostile things in the past. 1995 was one thing, and even after that. I don't think it will faze our guys at all. If anything that might give us a little extra."

In this test, performance of Shane Watson has to be good as already fans are of the view that if Watson doesn't perform in this test he needs to go. As for the Sri Lanka, Malinga was not supported and recommended to be included as he is not yet good enough for longer cricket formats.

The probable oppsing teams are:
Australia:
1 Ed Cowan, 2 David Warner, 3 Phillip Hughes, 4 Shane Watson, 5 Michael Clarke/Usman Khawaja, 6 Michael Hussey, 7 Matthew Wade (wk), 8 Mitchell Johnson, 9 Peter Siddle, 10 Nathan Lyon, 11 Jackson Bird.

Clarke's fitness remains the major question for Australia, and it appears more likely he will be saved for future contests rather than carrying a tender hamstring into the Test.

Sri Lanka:
1 Tillakaratne Dilshan, 2 Dimuth Karunaratne, 3 Kumar Sangakkara, 4 Mahela Jayawardene (capt), 5 Thilan Samaraweera, 6 Angelo Mathews, 7 Prasanna Jayawardene (wk), 8 Nuwan Kulasekara, 9 Rangana Herath, 10 Shaminda Eranga, 11 Chanaka Welegedara.

The tourists appear likely to enter the match unchanged from their Hobart combination, though Dhammika Prasad is on standby for Nuwan Kulasekara, who is still sore after a blow to the ribs in Hobart.

There is one thing special: Kumar Sangakkara enters the match 40 short or passing 10,000 Test runs - something he should be desperately looking for to complete as a gift for himself, family and the country.

So let us watch the 2nd Test match that starts on the Boxing Day 26 December at 10:30 local time, 04:30 PKT and 23:30 GMT 25 December 2012.

England beat India by 10 Wickets in the 2nd Test Match at Mumbai

For England, the win over India by 10 wickets must be a great day to rejoice as successive test match losses were taking a heavy toll of the English morale for quite sometime now.

And it was with this demoralized state of morale that the Brits started their test match against the hosts at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai - but did not know that just on the fourth day they will be a cheering lot.

Winning the toss, India could only muster 327 with their new magic boy Pujara scoring 135 and that is all any of the Indians could do. Panesar struck the Indian batsmen, including Pujara, and sent five of them back to pavilion in the first innings for 129.

England in their second innings, looked comfortable even against the Indian bowlers, who have otherwise been a scare so far and scored 413, with Cook 122 and Pietersen 186. As against Panesar, it was Ojha from the hosts who dismantled five English batsmen in a tit for tat move for 145.

-->

The second Indian innings was a disaster. Except for Gambhir's 65, no other Indian batsman reached even 10 except Aswin who scored 11. And the entire Indian squad was back in pavillion for mere 142 - Panesar once again taking a heavy toll of 6 Indians for just 81 runs.

For Englishmen, reaching the balance score of 58 was just peanuts as Cook (18) and Compton (30) reached the target with amazing 10 extras.

The second of the four test matches series thus ended on the fourth day in the visitors favour, levelling the series 1-1 for now.

India should now finally start agreeing that something is wrong with the side. It was not the imaginary green tops in Australia and England. The side's quality has eroded from the time they were No. 1

Watch Live England vs India Free Streaming | 2nd Test Match 23-27 November Mumbai

The visiting England cricket team to India plays its second test match against the hosts at at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai from Friday, 23 November 2012 today till 27 November.

The visitors may be utterly demoralized after their first test defeat at the hands of the Indians at Ahmadabad  The Brits found themselves completely helpless at the hands of the Indian spinners who took a heavy toll of their batsmen.

India's emerging batsman Pujara was a big surprise for the visitors, and perhaps for the Indians as well and they now seem to be banking more on him in the remaining three test matches. After their first test victory, the home team is being heavily favoured to win the remaining three tests - unless the visitors recoil and come up with something they haven't shown or tested as yet.

Mumbai pitch bounces well and its early morning moisture is helpful for the seamers. It was here that England won in 2006 and even dismantled the home team for 100 in their second innings. But that was then - as for now, the Englishmen have not been good in test matches and the home crowd behind the Indians will definitely keep them at a loss.

Recently, India has wonthree of the five test matches, while England has won none, lost three and drawn two. Not a healthy stats for the visitors and analysts find repititon of their past performance in the second test too.

The opposing squads are as under:
India
MS Dhoni*†, R Ashwin, G Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Z Khan, V Kohli, PP Ojha, CA Pujara, AM Rahane, V Sehwag, I Sharma, SR Tendulkar, M Vijay, UT Yadav, Yuvraj Singh

England
AN Cook*, JM Anderson, JM Bairstow, IR Bell, TT Bresnan, SCJ Broad, NRD Compton, ST Finn, SC Meaker, EJG Morgan, G Onions, MS Panesar, SR Patel, KP Pietersen, MJ Prior†, JE Root, GP Swann, IJL Trott

The match is scheduled for Friday, 23 November 2012 to 27 November, starting 04:00 GMT daily at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

West Indies vs England '2nd Test': Watch Live Online from Trent Bridge Free Streaming

West Indies play their second test against hosts England Trent Bridge commencing Friday today till 29th May.

The win over the West Indians seem to have given much confidence to the hosts which is evident from their unchanged squad and are now looking for a clean sweep of 3-0 against the visitors.

While Chanderpaul may give some tough time to the Englishmen, the depth in England's batting line may not help the West Indians to look for easy victory in the second or even third test.

Playing at Trent Bridge would be in favour of the hosts as it provides extra support to the swingers. This would add pressure on the weak top order West Indian batting and early fall of major wickets.

Gabriel is out for the series for the visitors. Tino Best who flew over from the Caribbean as a replacement , but there are chances that Ravi Rampaul will be included instead.

So let us watch the match at Trent Bridge, which commences 10:00 GMT everyday from 25-29 May.

Rain draws Windies Test to a close

Australia's push to win the second Test against the West Indies was washed out this morning as the match ended in a rainy draw.

The Windies were 2-53 chasing 215 for victory in the final two sessions of the Trinidad Test but the showers put an end to any hopes of a result in the rain-marred match.

The draw gave Australia an unbeatable 1-0 series lead into next week's final Test in Dominica, allowing the tourists to retain the Frank Worrell Trophy.

There were signs the match could go either way earlier, with Darren Sammy having raced to 30 not out for the Windies while Darren Bravo was alongside his skipper on eight when rain stopped play.

Aussies back on top after Chanderpaul falls

Shivnarine Chanderpaul fell agonisingly short of a century before Australian spinner Nathan Lyon destroyed the West Indian lower order to hand the momentum back to the visitors on the third day of the second test on Tuesday.

Chanderpaul was dismissed for 94 after surviving a dropped catch early in his innings when leading a West Indian fightback with a perfect blend of defence and controlled aggression. But his gritty performance counted for little at the end of the day after the fragile West Indian batting crumbled and the home side were reduced to 252 for nine at the close, still 59 behind Australias first innings of 311 in a low scoring match.

Snail Paced 1st Day at Queen's Park between Aussies and Windies

Australia and the West Indies shared the honours on a slow opening day in the second Test at Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad on Sunday.
When stumps were drawn, both teams retreated to the dressing room satisfied but not elated after a tough day in the Caribbean sun.
The Australians had 208 runs on the board but West Indies had five wickets. Last week's first test in Barbados was a thriller which Australia won by three wickets and already the second test looks like being another close encounter.

The revival of West Indies cricket has been slowly gathering momentum in the past two years and on Sunday it was their slow bowlers who did most of the damage.

2nd Test: West Indies v Australia -Watch Live Online 15-19 April 2012

The first test between the Windies and the Aussies was a shocker for the hosts. Having set a formidable and imposing target of 449 in the first innings, the hosts thought the tourists would succumb to their upper hand - but the hosts were completely taken by surprise as the Aussies turned the table so swiftly and masterly that a winning match by hosts turned into a miserable defeat.

The seond test, thus is very crucial for the Windies if they really want to save face at the hands of the tourists. For this they will have to be consistant, more disciplined to fight out till the end. A seemingly easy victory should not make them relaxed to an extent that they enter the red zone as they did in the first test.

The centre of Windies pillar of strenght is again likely to be Shivnarine Chanderpaul, whose 103 made his team reach a winnable target of 449 in the first innings. Other than he, Darren Bravo should be another player worthy of trust who scored 51 and 32 in the first test.

As for the tourists, they have had a good experince back home beating back the visiting Indians and Lankans. The Aussies ahve an impressive batting line. Shane Watson, David Warner and Ed Cowan have played very well in the first test, besides captain Clarke and Hussey - the two reliable and mature batsmen. Likewise, their bowlers are also too good, specially Ryan Harris and Ben Hilfenhaus.

The Queen's Park pitch is said to be spin-friendly and a careful selection and employment of spinners at the right moments can provide just the right kind of desired results.

The only odds are the expected rain and thunderstorms which may interrupt the play and cause delays and break the momentum of the game.

The likely XIs from both ends may include:

West Indies: 1 Adrian Barath, 2 Kraigg Brathwaite, 3 Kirk Edwards (vice-captain), 4 Darren Bravo, 5 Shivnarine Chanderpaul , 6  Narsingh Deonarine, 7 Carlton Baugh (wicket-keeper), 8 Darren Sammy (captain), 9 Kemar Roach, 10 Fidel Edwards, 11 Devendra Bishoo/ Shane Shillingford

Australia: 1 Ed Cowan, 2 David Warner, 3 Shane Watson (vice-captain), 4 Ricky Ponting, 5 Michael Clarke (captain), 6 Michael Hussey, 7 Matthew Wade (wicket-keeper), 8 Peter Siddle, 9 Ryan Harris, 10 Ben Hilfenhaus, 11 Nathan Lyon/Michael Beer

Venue: Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad

Michael Beer a possible parnter to Nathan Lyon in the Second Test against Windies

MICHAEL Beer could be in line for a Test recall as Australia consider employing a twin-spin attack for the second Test which starts tonight at the Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad.

Nathan Lyon, who played in the three-wicket victory in the Barbados first Test, could have the left-arm orthodox spin of Michael Beer as his foil as Michael Clarke's men look to wrap up the three-Test series.
"Over the past two seasons it's been relatively low-scoring, but also very, very spin-friendly. The temptation to play two spinners could be there," Australia coach Mickey Arthur said.
"You never write that off until you have a look at the conditions. I guess we just have to look at conditions, then decide how best we're going to get 20 wickets."

Sri Lanka-England Test Match: England dominates Sri Lanka

England had to dominate in the second test lest they slipped from the world number one ranking. Although, it is too early to say whether England fianlly wins or not, but by Day-3, England is in a commanding position.

Today, the Day-3 saw England's Pietersen disregarding hosts' bowlers and scored impressive 151 off 165 balls, which inlcuded six mighty sixes. Besides Pietersen, Alastair Cook remained six shor t of a century, while Jonathan Trott scored 64. England is was all out for 460, a little before the bales off.

Sri Lanka made four runs before the day's play ended and now trails behind the visitors by 185 runs.

Day-4 tomorrow will be crucial for both the hosts and the visitors. If Sri Lanka can get hold of the match, they can over awe the visitors and maycreate a dilemma for their ranking.

England in strong position against Sri Lanka on Day-2 of 2nd Test

Dumping Sri Lanka in the first innings for mere 275, England struck with the full might of its batsmen to have  a grip on the 2nd test against Sri Lanka on the 2nd day at Colombo.

Sri Lanka started the day with a score of 238 for six - but the remaining four wickets fell for just 37 runs and the hosts were called in to field against England.

England batsmen Andrew Strauss (61) and opener Alastair Cook (77) hit half centuries to reach stumps 121 behind on 154 for one.

Let us watch Day-3 match tomorrow and see whether this strength gives visitors a window of opportunity to cash on and win the match - something badly to maintain the World Number One ranking.
