Everton restricts Arsenal with a 1-1 draw

Everton seems to be quite resilient this season as they have one surprise after the other in their recent encounters.

Sunday was yet another day when they gave rather tough time to the Gunners, sitting atop the points table of the Premier League, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

The match remained golaless in the first half and it was towards the very end of the second half that Ozil scored the lone goal for the Gunners and everyone thought that that was the end of the match.

But Deulofeu of Everton did not think so as he scored the equalizer in the 84th minute and denied Arsenal a seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League - much to the annoyance of the Gunners and much to the amusement of their own fans and crowd.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez, who was relegated with Wigan on his last visit to the Emirates, praised his side's "lack of fear" in recent matches and Deulofeu's late strike spoke volumes for the Blues' character as they remain the only side with one loss in the Premier League.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said after the game:
"We didn't take our chances very well and the other regret is that we gave the lead away with seven minutes to go. But credit to them, they always looked dangerous. In the end, we are disappointed to get caught but it's still a point."

Toffees beat Red Devils for the first time in 21 years

What a day it was yesterday when the Devils became more red as the Toffees defeated them 1-0 and made history as it was their first win over Manchester United in 21 years.

The goal came at the Old Trafford in 86th minute from Oviedo who would remember having subdued the Devils in an otherwise goal-less match of the evening.

Costa Rican defender Bryan Oviedo struck four minutes from time to ensure Everton manager Roberto Martinez achieved a result at the first time of asking that avoided Moyes in his 11-year managerial career at Goodison Park.

At the end of a miserable defeat, Manchester United manager David Moyes said:
"I am disappointed to lose, that's the way the game goes sometimes. The game was tight we missed some opportunities to score and Everton took their opportunities.'
While a jubilant Everton manager Roberto Martinez remarked:
"I couldn't be prouder. We never felt inferior, we kept doing what we are good at. I have always felt this squad was capable of going anywhere and playing teams eye to eye. We have got a fantastic blend of experience and arrogant young players and that excites me. We need to carry on improving and prove we can perform like that anywhere in the league."

Manchester United vs. Everton: English Barclays Premier League | Watch Free Live Streaming - 4 December 2013

Manchester United meets Everton Wednesday 4 December today evening at Old Trafford.

Placed at number 8, the Red Devils have to go a long way up the points table to occupy the top slots, presently held by Arsenal, Chelsea and rival Citizens. Even Everton sits at number five with 24 points as against the Devils' 22.

However, the prospects of today's game result seem rather ovbious. As Everton last won at Old Trafford in the league in August 1992 when Peter Beardsley, Robert Warzycha and Mo Johnston got the goals in a 3-0 win. Since then, in 20 visits, Everton have drawn four and lost 16.

As for the Devils, Phil Jones serves a one-game ban after amassing five yellow cards, while Robin van Persie has "a chance" of recovering from a combination of groin and toe problems to play.

The likely opposing teams for this evening's match could be as under:

Manchester United (Possible, 4-2-3-1): De Gea; Smalling, Vidic, Evans, Evra; Fellaini, Giggs; Valencia, Kagawa, Young; Rooney.
Out: Carrick (Achilles), Fletcher (illness), Jones (suspended).
Tests: Van Persie (groin/toe).

Everton (Possible, 4-4-1-1): Howard; Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Oviedo; Mirallas, McCarthy, Barry, Pienaar; Barkley; Lukaku.
Out: Alcaraz (hamstring), Baines (toe), Koné, Gibson (knee).

Referee: Martin Atkinson. Matches: 8, R0 Y22.

The English Barclays Premier League match is scheduled to be played between Manchester United and Everton on Wednesday, 4 December at Old Trafford at 19:45 GMT

Watch Live Everton v Chelsea Free Streaming | Premier League - 30 December

The Blues who have moved down from their third slot to fourth and overtaken by the Hotspur by one point, meet 6th placed Everton will hope to end a successful but dramatic 2012 with victory Sunday afternoon today at Goodison Park. Hotspur replaced the Blues from their third position after the Spurs beat Sunderland 2-1 on Saturday.

However, Everton have had an exceptional season so far, and David Moyes' side will not be an easy target for the Blues. Everton are unbeaten in their last four home matches against Chelsea, winning the last three. But this is also a fact that Everton have never defeated Chelsea in seven previous December Premier League meetings (D5, L2).

As for the Blues, victory would see Chelsea record a fourth successive league win for only the second time this season.

The opposing teams for today's match are likely to be:
Everton (Possible, 4-4-2): Howard; Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Baines; Osman, Neville, Gibson, Pienaar; Jelavic, Anichebe.

Chelsea (Possible, 4-2-3-1): Cech; Ivanovic, Luiz, Cahill, Cole; Mikel, Ramires; Moses, Oscar, Mata; Torres.

Referee: Howard Webb. Matches 14, R2, Y52.

The match is scheduled for Sunday, 30 December 2012, 13:30 GMT at Goodison Park.

Watch Live Manchester City vs Everton Free Streaming | Premier League: 1 December

Manchester City, sitting at the second position and a notch below the Man United on the points table should be in no mood whatsoever to lose or even draw against 6th placed Everton when they meet Saturday afternoon at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City have already passed the first test of champions hoping to retain their title: that of staying among the leaders despite failing to hit top form.

But that is by means to be happy as Toffees have defeated Citizens on five of the six occasions they have met. Any slackness on the part of the Citizens can prove fatal Saturday today. And let us not forget that Everton were the last team to beat City at the Etihad, back in December 2010.

The match today pits the two most attacking sides in the league, with Everton number 1 with shots on target with 92, closely followed by Manchester City on 91, and today's duel could be very volatile providing the spectators a fully charged field to enjoy.

Everton vs Sunderland: Watch Live Free Streaming | Premier League - 10 November

While the Manchester United travel to Park Villa to play against Aston Villa Saturday evening, Everton get ready for their match against the Sunderland at Goodison Park, Walton, Liverpool.

On the Premier League table placing, Everton are placed at no.4 with seven points under Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City, while Sunderland are at no. 16 with 9 points

For Saturday afternoon's match, Everton will be missing many of its players including Tony Hibbert, Darron Gibson, Victor Anichebe and Anichebe.

Sunderland are goal starved and have only six scored which is the lowest across all four of England's top divisions.

As for the prospects this afternoon, the Toffees may have an upper edge over the Sunderland as they have not lost to Sunderland since David Moyes has been manager of the club, a run that has stretched 17 games and has included 12 wins. On the contrary, the Black Cats have won only one of their last 17 matches.

Even otherwise Goodison Park has not yielded good results for the Sunderland as they have not won any match in almost two decades - they last won here in 1996.

The possible XIs from both side may include:

Everton (Possible, 4-4-1-1): Howard; Coleman, Jagielka, Heitinga, Baines; Mirallas, Neville, Osman, Pienaar; Fellaini; Jelavic.

Sunderland (Possible, 4-4-2): Mignolet; Bardsley, O’Shea, CuĂ©llar, Rose; Larsson, Cattermole, Gardner, Johnson; Fletcher, Sessegnon.

Referee: Lee Mason

The match scheduled for Saturday, 10 November 2012 at 15:005 GMT at the Goodison Park.

Here I may add for the information of the readers that Goodison Park is a football stadium located in Walton, Liverpool, England. The stadium has been home to Everton F.C. since its completion in 1892 and is one of the world's first purpose-built football grounds.

Everton vs Liverpool: Watch Live Free Streaming | English Premier League - 28 October

Away from tennis at Basel and Istanbul, let us also keep playing and watching football, which is going on with much fanfare in preparation for the UEFA Championship 2013 and English Premier League.

Sunday today, Everton meet Liverpool in the English Premier League at Merseyside derby, Goodison Park.

Ahead of the match, however, Everton's boss David Moyes has warned that players who dive will drive fans away from football. His comments come as Moyes feel that his side has been 'badly done' by a terrible refereeing decision.

Whatever the grievances, the match Sunday afternoon is going to be between two bitter English rivals. ANd it is going to be an action packed drama both for the players isndie the field and fans swarming the stands around the arena waving and shouting to boost their team morale and blocke other side from doing the same for their team.

Who will win? Well with both Everton and Liverpool in action ranked 4th and 12th, the prediction is still hard to make. Liverpool have averaged 58.3% possession thus far with a passing accuracy of 85.6%, while Everton have averaged only 50.8% thus far with a passing accuracy of only 80.9%. But Everton have produced the joint-highest number (19.6 per game) of shots on goal, which says a lot about how incisive and direct Everton have been. In many ways, these two teams are the ideal opposition for each other.

We wait and watch the match as it begins 13:30 GMT, Sunday 28 October - there is going to be a wonderful Merseyside derby for the fun and excitement of us all.

Everton v Manchester United - Watch Live Free Streaming | Barclays Premier League - 20 August 2012

Everton and Manchester United meet Monday evening today for a show off at Goodison, which for some is a revenge match for the United as the Man United think that Evertons destroyed their dream of Premier League title at Old Trafford in April earlier this year.

What is new for today's match? Well, Everton FC's new striker Steven Naismith is in line to make his competitive debut for the Toffees. As for the Man United, manager Sir Alex Ferguson has problems in defence where Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans (both foot) and Phil Jones (back) are possibly ruled out. However, Shinji Kagawa could also make his debut for the Red Devils.

The probable opposing squad for the first match between Everton and Manchester United are:
Everton FC: Howard, Hibbert, Heitinga, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Neville, Gibson, Pienaar, Barkley, Fellaini, Osman, Naismith, Jelavic, Mucha, Francisco, Gueye, Vellios, Anichebe, Duffy, McAleny, Coleman.

Manchester United: De Gea, Lindegaard, Rafael, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Valencia, Nani, Scholes, Carrick, Anderson, Cleverley, Kagawa, Powell, Giggs, Young, Rooney, Van Persie, Welbeck, Hernandez, Berbatov, Macheda.

And the warning!! Steven Pienaar is of the view that Everton can give Manchester United the blues yet again - ah really?

Lets us watch the match to find out, which is scheduled for Saturday, 20 August 2012 at 19:00 GMT.
