Pakistan and Zimbabwe face each other for a decisive 2nd Test Match commencing Tuesday today, 10th September till 14 September at Harare Sports Club cricket grounds.
The first test was a disaster for Zimbabwe as they lost fifteen wickets to Saeed Ajmal and Abdur Rehman. For the hosts, this was too much - facing high-quality spinners. And it is the same venue and same spinners that the hosts will again be facing from today on.
Pakistan's Younis Khan who scored an impressive century in the first test is 48 short of becoming the fourth Pakistan batsman to reach 7000 Test runs, after Javed Miandad, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Yousuf. This test certainly provide him that window of opportunity to realise the 7000 mark.

Pakistan and Zimbabwe face each other for a decisive 3rd ODI to decide who wins the ODI series Saturday today at Harare Sports Club today.
After losing two T20Is, Zimbabwe stunned rather over confident Pakistan team by winning the first ODI. Although Pakistan fought back in the second ODI, the decision hangs in balance as both teams have won one ODI each.
So far the Zimbabwe team has put much pressure on Pakistan bowlers, specially Saeed Ajmal and Shahid Afridi who despite good bowling recortd are finding it hard to tackle the hosts. Unless Pakistani bowlers strike hard and its batsmen play responsibly, tides may tilt in Zimbabwe's favour today.
However, Zimbabwe team is in chaos over payement of dues. They aborted a trraining session on Friday over unpaid salaries. And the players have extended to Monday a deadline for Zimbabwe Cricket to clear their dues, which could yet put a cloud over the two-Test series that begins on Tuesday.

Let us take a break from the ongoing US Open tennis and go to Harare where hosts Zimbabwe takes on visiting Pakistan cricket team in the second ODI after having out shined Pakistan in the first ODI.
Zimbabwe's shock win in the first ODI was their first against Pakistan in 15 years. In fact it was mainly due to lack of incisiveness on the part of the Pakistan bowlers to contain the hosts and win over the day.
Also, Pakistan's Boom Boom Afridi is playing his typical game again - pomp and show in one series and then going back to his shell of inactivity. He hardly caused a flutter with the bat in the first ODI when the team needed some late push, while his bowling lacked zip and he was taken for easy runs. Pakistan would hope the all-rounder doesn't wait to fire till his place in the side is in doubt again.
Zimbabwe on the other hand is in jubilation as it beat Pakistan after a gap of 15 years and would be looking forward for a repeat performance again today. A win today will earn Zimbabwe a victory of 2 ODIs in a series of three.

The visiting Pakistan cricket team plays its first T20I against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club Friday afternoon today.
In their last encounter in 2011, Pakistan won both T20Is and seems all set to do the same this time too.
Boom Boom Shahid Afridi needs 84 more for 1000 T20 runs. Mohammad Hafeez is the only Pakistan batsman to pass that milestone. Umar Akmal is second with 929.
It may be added that Pakistan during their Zimbabwe tour will play two T20Is, three ODIs and two test matches. The tour ends by 14th September.
