Sri Lanka vs Pakistan: 2nd T20I | Watch Free Live Streaming - 13 December

Pakistan, having beaten the Sri Lankans in the first T20I by three wickets, plays its second T20I against the Islanders at  Dubai International Cricket Stadium Friday 13 December tonight.

The performance of Pakistan team clearly showed that though Sri Lanka may be the top-ranked Twenty20 side for now, Pakistan were clearly the better-drilled and more fluent outfit, after their tough series against South Africa.

The winning of first T20I was largely attributed to Shahid Afridi's superb batting, which recently had witnessed a decline. However, it seems that he is now concentrating on batting as well, beside his bowling.

"In the last four-five years, I've been focusing on my bowling. But I know how important my batting is for us, and I have to thank Mohammad Hafeez, who keeps saying, "You're still the best. Keep going and play your natural game," said Afridi after the first T20I.

If Pakistan win this match, they become the No. 1 ranked T20I side in the world, sending Sri Lanka to second alongside India and South Africa.

Opposing Teams:
Pakistan squadMohammad Hafeez*, Usman Khan, Ahmed Shehzad, Anwar Ali, Bilawal Bhatti, Haris Sohail, Junaid Khan, Saeed Ajmal, Shahid Afridi, Sharjeel Khan, Sohaib Maqsood, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Akmal†, Umar Amin, Zulfiqar Babar

Sri Lanka squadLD Chandimal*, TM Dilshan, KMDN Kulasekara, RAS Lakmal, SL Malinga, AD Mathews, BAW Mendis, MDKJ Perera, NLTC Perera, S Prasanna, RLB Rambukwella, KC Sangakkara†, SMSM Senanayake, HDRL Thirimanne, KDK Vithanage

Umpires Ahsan Raza and Zameer Haider

The match is scheduled for December 13 at  Dubai International Cricket Stadium at (20:00 local | 16:00 GMT | 21:00 PKT)

A Mighty Six by Afridi wins Pakistan first T20I against Sri Lanka

Afridi rejoices victory after hitting a mighty six [Photo]

The first T20I between Pakistan and Sri Lanka played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium (neutral venue) Wednesday 11 December 2013 was simply a sensation. Those who watched it must have enjoyed a very good cricket.

Pakistan winning the toss, chose to field. The Islanders gave a target of 146 runs for Pakistan to chase. Except for Mathews' 50, none of the Lankan batsmen score handsomely and were 145 for 5 in 20 overs. Pakistan's Ajmal and Tanvir took two wickets each while Afridi took one.

Coming to bat, the Pakistani batsmen opened the score quite confidently except for Shehzad who was gone when the score was just 12. But thereafter Sharjeel and Hafeez added 34 and 32 respectively. However by a score of 117, six wickets had fallen.

Bilawal Bhatti and Afridi took the challenge to win the match, but Bhatti was gone for 10. In the last over, Pakistan needed 6 runs from six balls. But a mighty six on the first ball of the over won the match for Pakistan. Pakistan won by 3 wickets (with 5 balls remaining).

Malinga was the most successful bowler who sent home three Pakistani batsmen.

Shahid Khan Afridi was declared plaer od the match for his one wicket and very valuable 39 runs.

Pakistan lead the 2-match series 1-0. The second T20I will be played on again at Dubai on 13th December.

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan: 1st T20I - Dubai | Watch Free Live Streaming - 11 December

Pakistan, after a successful South African tour, moves to UAE yet again to paly a series of matches against Sri Lanka.

To begin with both teams face each other Wednesday evening today for their firt T20I day/night (20-over match) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Both teams will play two T20Is and three ODIs during their stay in UAE.

Pakistan are fresh from limited-overs success in South Africa, where they won the second of the two Twenty20s, and two of the three ODIs. Pakistan also defeated Afghanistan in Sharjah, three days prior to the series-opener against Sri Lanka.

It thus seems that Sri Lanka batsman Kumar Sangakkara and captain Dinesh Chandimal are wary of Pakistan's form and confidence ahead of the first Twenty20 in Dubai.

"Pakistan has played two high-quality series both here and in South Africa, so we know it's going to be tough. They know these conditions well," Sangakkara said.

Opposing Teams:
Pakistan squad:
Mohammad Hafeez*, Usman Khan, Ahmed Shehzad, Anwar Ali, Bilawal Bhatti, Haris Sohail, Junaid Khan, Saeed Ajmal, Shahid Afridi, Sharjeel Khan, Sohaib Maqsood, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Akmal†, Umar Amin, Zulfiqar Babar

Sri Lanka squad:
LD Chandimal*, TM Dilshan, KMDN Kulasekara, RAS Lakmal, SL Malinga, AD Mathews, BAW Mendis, MDKJ Perera, NLTC Perera, S Prasanna, RLB Rambukwella, KC Sangakkara†, SMSM Senanayake, HDRL Thirimanne, KDK Vithanage

Pakistan clinch last-ball win over Afghanistan in their first ever T20I match

Pakistan played its first ever T20I with the emerging cricket team of Afghanistan at Sharjah Sunday evening and won the match in a sensational ending.

Afghan team gave a target of 138 runs to Pakistan at Sharjah - but then restricted Pakistan to the last over with six runs remaining to reach the target.

Afghanistan, who won the toss and batted, had a poor start as they lost both their openers Mohammad Shahzad (two) and Nawroz Mangal (one) by the fifth over.

But Najibullah Zadran (38) and Nabi (15 off ten) gave solidity to the innings, adding 35 for the fourth wicket in quick time.

But once left-arm paceman Junaid Khan came on to bowl he put the brakes on the Afghanistan batting, cleaning Najibullah and Samiullah Sinwari (16) in quick succession to finish with 3-24 in his four overs.

It was finally Pakistan's skipper Mohammad Hafeez who kept his cool to finish with a 37-ball 42 not out as Pakistan needed six off the final over bowled by Dawlat Zadran and one off the last delivery.

Hafeez hit two boundaries and a six during his knock and avoided any major hiccup against a fighting Afghan team. While openers Ahmed Shehzad (35) and debutant Sharjeel Khan (18) by the eighth over. Shehzad, who hit six boundaries during his 37-ball knock, holed out while Sharjeel miscued a drive off Mohammad Nabi in the tenth over.

Pakistan now play Sri Lanka in the two Twenty20 games in Dubai on Wednesday and Friday while Afghanistan take on Ireland in the final of the ICC Inter-Continental Cup in Dubai from Tuesday.

Pakistan beat South Africa to Draw T20I series

Pakistan's Umar Akmal's 64 (left) runs and three wickets in succession by Afridi (right) led to Pakistan's victory at Cape Town [Photos AP]

We have condemned Pakistani batsman more than enough. But at Cap Town Friday night, Pakistan batsmen recoiled and gave a good target of 176/4 for the hosts South Africans to chase.

And their spinners, specially Afridi and Ajmal made sure they restrict the hosts and win the match by six runs.

Batting first, Pakistan's 102-run stand between Mohammad Hafeez and Umar Akmal's 64 allowed Pakistan to put on their most competitive batting display in limited-overs matches against South Africa in the last month and break a six-match winless streak.

Hafeez seemed to be in control of his squad and was seen very active on the field. As someone commented, "Hafeez is much better captain than Misbah because he comes up with fresh ideas about game plan. He gives chance to every player in squad, tries different bowling combinations, is very energetic in field and his field placements are better. Having said that there were some flaws too. He should give new ball to Junaid Khan. He should never send Afridi up the order."

Coming to bat, the South Africans had a flying start till their batsmen were was halted by Pakistan's spinners, led by Shahid Afridi who took the first three wickets. Bilawal Bhatti, in just his second match, showed the variations needed to stem the run flow of runs so that even a 34-run blitz in two overs by David Miller and JP Duminy at the end was not enough, with Sohail Tanvir bowling low full tosses at the death.

Towards the end, it was Sohail Tanvir who took the pace off while keeping his length full to ensure Pakistan squared the series and moved up to No.4 on the rankings. South Africa have dropped from second to third.

The two teams now meet at Cape Town Sunday24 November  for the first of the 3-ODI series match.

South Africa v Pakistan: 1st T20I at Johannesburg | Watch Free Live Streaming - 20 Nov

After a disastrous series of matches, specially the ODIs and T20Is, Pakistan commences its tour of South Africa for a 2-matches T20Is and 3-matches ODI series of South Africa.

The first of the two T20Is is scheduled for Wednesday today at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.

The pitch at Wanderers has a reputation for bounce and carry, but has also provided some the best surfaces for the batsmen too.  It has a fairly even record in T20Is with the team batting first. Of the 20 matches played, nine teams electing to bat first won.

The South Africans will have no problem adjusting to their home fields as they quickly overcome the heat of Dubai and won almost all the matches against Pakistan. Having just beaten Pakistan 2-0 in the United Arab Emirates, South Africa have another chance to build toward a balanced side ahead of the World T20 in Bangladesh next year.

It remains to be seen whether Pakistan is able to recover from the debacle after debacle they suffered at Dubai and make amends. But they have injuries which will keep Irfan, Shoaib Malik and Razzaq away - while Wahab has been dropped.

Squads:
Pakistan: Misbah-ul-Haq*, Mohammad Hafeez*, Abdur Rehman, Ahmed Shehzad, Anwar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Bilawal Bhatti, Junaid Khan, Nasir Jamshed, Saeed Ajmal, Shahid Afridi, Sohaib Maqsood, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Akmal†, Umar Amin

South Africa: F du Plessis*, HM Amla, H Davids, Q de Kock†, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Imran Tahir, R McLaren, DA Miller, M Morkel, WD Parnell, AM Phangiso, DW Steyn, LL Tsotsobe, D Wiese

Umpires JD Cloete and S George

The match is scheduled for November 20 at  Johannesburg at 18:00 local time (16:00 GMT)

India vs Australia: T20I | Watch Free Live Streaming - 10 October 2013

The eight-match limited-overs series, starting with the one-off T20 in Rajkot, kicks off India's home international season of 2013-14 between India and visiting Australian cricket team at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot today.

Unlike other series, where the visitors take time to get acclimatise to the host country's peculiar climatic environment, Australia will have quite a comfortable start as five of Australia's T20 squad were part of the Champions League final (Mitchell Johnson didn't play).

However, Australia's recent T20 results haven't been impressive, having lost 6 of their last 7 T20s. A win will give them a chance of starting the tour on a high, something they will need as they face a vastly experienced India ODI squad later on.
The likely opposing squads are as under for today's match:
India squad
MS Dhoni*†, R Ashwin, S Dhawan, RA Jadeja, V Kohli, B Kumar, A Mishra, Mohammed Shami, SK Raina, AT Rayudu, I Sharma, RG Sharma, JD Unadkat, R Vinay Kumar, Yuvraj Singh

Australia squad
GJ Bailey*, NM Coulter-Nile, XJ Doherty, JP Faulkner, AJ Finch, BJ Haddin†, MC Henriques, MG Johnson, CJ McKay, NJ Maddinson, GJ Maxwell, AC Voges, SR Watson

Umpires AK Chaudhary and C Shamsuddin

The match is scheduled to begin at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot, Oct 10, 2013 at 13:30 (GMT 0)

In their last encounter in 2011, Pakistan won both T20Is and seems all set to do the same this time too.

It may be added that Pakistan during their Zimbabwe tour will play two T20Is, three ODIs and two test matches. The tour ends by 14th September.

Sri Lanka vs South Africa: 1st T20I | Watch Free Live Streaming - 2 August

Having had a rough time with the visiting South Africans against hosts in the ODI series, the visitors face the Islanders once again in the T20Is from Friday today onward.

The first of the three T20Is is being played at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo Friday today.

Now beware of the Islanders, caution well wishers of the South Africa as Sri Lanka is best when it comes to T20Is. They have been the top-ranked side in the format since October last year, and have arrived at a short-form formula few teams have successfully countered.

The likely opposing squads are as under for today's match:
Sri Lanka:
LD Chandimal*, SL Malinga, TM Dilshan, DPMD Jayawardene, KMDN Kulasekara, RAS Lakmal, AD Mathews, BAW Mendis, BMAJ Mendis, AK Perera, MDKJ Perera†, NLTC Perera, KC Sangakkara†, SMSM Senanayake, HDRL Thirimanne

South Africa:
F du Plessis*, F Behardien, H Davids, Q de Kock†, AB de Villiers†, JP Duminy, Imran Tahir, RK Kleinveldt, R McLaren, DA Miller, M Morkel, CH Morris, WD Parnell, AM Phangiso, LL Tsotsobe, D Wiese

As for the pitch, slow surfaces of the Island have compounded South Africa's woes, and they should not expect respite from the Premadasa curators for this match. Thunderstorms continue to blow through Colombo, but the rain expected for Friday is forecast to ease well before the match is set to begin.

The match is scheduled to begin at 19:00 local time (13:30 GMT) on 2 August at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

West Indies vs Pakistan - 2nd T20I | Watch Free Live Streaming Online - 28 July

The first T20I that Pakistan and West Indies played at was a thriller and record making. Pakistan won the match by 2 wickets with a powerful sixer on the last ball by Zulfiqar Babar at the age of 34 who made his T20I début Saturday at Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St Vincent.

It was also a day for Shahid Afridi to rejoice as he claimed his 400th sixes by hitting two sixes. He scored 46 off 37 balls with four 4s and two sixes.

Captain Hafeez opted to open the bowling and the decision proved to be the right one, as he picked up two wickets in his first two overs of Charles and Gayle. Zulfiqar Babar picked up the best bowling figures for Pakistan 3/23 and then went on to hit a six off the final ball of the innings to take Pakistan home with the bat. Umar Amin a débutante too, scored impressive 47(34) that provided some impetus after the top order collapse.

Well with that match summary, let us turn to the second T20I match Sunday today - the last match the visiting Pakistan team is playing before returning home. And they would be eyeing the match victory while the hosts would like for an equalizer - much needed for face saving.

West Indies squad
DJG Sammy*, S Badree, CD Barnwell, TL Best, DJ Bravo, DM Bravo, J Charles†, ST Gabriel, CH Gayle, SP Narine, KA Pollard, MN Samuels, LMP Simmons

Pakistan squad
Mohammad Hafeez*, Ahmed Shehzad, Asad Ali, Hammad Azam, Haris Sohail, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Irfan, Nasir Jamshed, Saeed Ajmal, Shahid Afridi, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Akmal†, Umar Amin, Wahab Riaz, Zulfiqar Babar

The match is scheduled to begin at 14:00 local time (18:00 GMT) on Sunday, 28 July at Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St Vincent.

Pakistan beat South Africa by 95 runs - wins T20I series 1-0

It was a match to be seen - those who viewed it live or on TV would remember it for quite sometime as Pakistan was at its best in its 2nd T20I match against hosts South Africa.

Captain Hafeez scored impressive 86

Played at SuperSport Park, Centurion, Captain Mohammad Hafeez and bowler Umar Gul put their test woes behind them as Pakistan beat South Africa by 95 runs to win the two-match Twenty20 series 1-0.

Batting first, Pakistan's Hafeez was scored 86 off 65 balls and contributed a major score in Pakistan's 195 for seven in 20 overs. Ahmed Shehzad was the next highest scorer with 46. Shahid Afridi was not out at 19.

RK Kleinveldt and CM Morris bagged two wickets each.

Umer Gul bagged five wickets for 6, including three ducks

When the hosts came to bat, they faced the wrath of Pakistan's fast bowler Umer Gul who took five wickets for mere six runs, followed by captain Hafeez who bagged three wickets for 25. Morris, Behardien and Ontong were sent back for duck by Umer Gul. AB De Villiers was the highest scorer for the home team who was bowled at 36 by Irfan.

The win today gives much confidence to Pakistan team ahead of the five ODIs, after they lost the test matches series 3-0 miserably.

We hope to see Pakistan keeping their form from now on and do well in the ODIs.

Pakistan and South Africa next play a five-match one-day international series, starting in Bloemfontein next Sunday.

Having won the first T20I against the visitors, India braces it self to win the second T20I being played against England at at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai Saturday afternoon today.

India seemed to be avenging its test series loss to the visitors at Pune and Yuvraj was seen the man both in the batting and bowling field putting the Englishmen uneasy and made it difficult for them to win.

India's win over England in Pune was their second-best against a non-'minnow' team in terms of balls to spare; they had won with 15 balls to spare against Pakistan in the World Twenty20.

It seems that India is performing in the shorter form of cricket better than the test cricket. If it continues its shorter format victory spree even in the secnd match today and againts the visiting Pakistan Team that is playing its first match on Christmas day, India is likely to climb up the ladder in T20I ranking.

The opposing squads for the day are as under:
India
MS Dhoni*, R Ashwin, P Awana, PP Chawla, AB Dinda, G Gambhir, RA Jadeja, V Kohli, B Kumar, A Mithun, AM Rahane, SK Raina, AT Rayudu, RG Sharma, Yuvraj Singh

England
EJG Morgan*, JM Bairstow, TT Bresnan, DR Briggs, JC Buttler, JW Dernbach, AD Hales, JAR Harris, MJ Lumb, SC Meaker, SR Patel, JE Root, JC Tredwell, LJ Wright

Umpires VA Kulkarni and S Ravi

The match is scheduled for 22 December at 19:00 local time (13:30 GMT) at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

India wins first T20I against England

After losing the test series 1-2 to the visiting English team, India is now trying to make it up for the loss by concentrating on the two-T20Is the visitors will play against India.

This was quite visible as India beat England by five wickets in the first T20I at Pune Thursday.

England winning the toss gave a target of 158 runs for the hosts. Alex Hales hit 56 and Jos Buttler 33, but the Indians did not let them stretch too far and in 20 overs, the visitors could only muster 157 at the loss of six wickets. Yuvraj from the Indian side was the most successful bowler who ousted three for 19 from his four overs.

When it came to bat, the Indians found it no difficulty to reach the target in 17.5 overs. Yuvraj was gain seen shining as a batsman and was the top scorer for his team - he scored 38. Dhoni at 24 was at the crease when the target was met.

England now plays its second T20I against India at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday, 22 December.

South Africa v New Zealand: Watch Live Free Streaming | 1st T20I - 21 December

Playing cricket almost on the verge of Christmas seems strange since all players would be wanting to be there with their families rather than playing cricket thousands of miles away.

But this the beauty of the sport that it goes on despite seasons holidays and celebrations. And this T20I will certainly add festivities to the coming holiday season.

The visiting New Zealand team plays its firt T20I at Kingsmead, Durban - the third largets city of Siuth Africa after  Johannesburg and Cape Town.

What is special for the day is that Henry Davids, 32, is on the verge of fulfilling his father's dream for him to play for South Africa. When he was born, his father Henry Davids Snr was playing cricket in the small town of Pniel. Perhaps this makes him a cricketer too.

As for the visitors, stand-in captain Faf du Plessis has only just established himself as a regular member of the playing XI while none of the top-order, middle-order or bowling combinations are settled. This is all to New Zealand's advantage and they will want to shock South Africa as the hosts look to build for the future, observes cricinfo.

The opposing squads for the day are as under:
South Africa
F du Plessis*, F Behardien, H Davids, Q de Kock†, RK Kleinveldt, RE Levi, R McLaren, DA Miller, M Morkel, CH Morris, JL Ontong, RJ Peterson, AM Phangiso, DW Steyn, LL Tsotsobe

New Zealand
BB McCullum*, Corey J Anderson, MD Bates, TA Boult, DAJ Bracewell, DC de Boorder†, JEC Franklin, PG Fulton, MJ Guptill, RM Hira, MJ McClenaghan, NL McCullum, C Munro, JDS Neesham, RJ Nicol

Umpires JD Cloete and S George

The match is scheduled from 21 December at 18:00 local time (16:00 GMT) at Kingsmead, Durban.

India v England: Watch Live Free Streaming | T20I - 20 December

The visiting Englishmen would be feeling much relieved and happy after winning the Test Series against India after a drought of 28 years right here on the Indian soil.

And now they face their hosts on the smallest format of cricket - the T20I Thursday today at Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium, Pune, which is more exciting, action packed, high scoring with temperatures raised, both for the players and the jam packed crowd watching the match in the stadium.

However, the match comes at a time when some of the players that made the test win possible are already back in England for the Christmas and New Year holidays - but who ever remains, will still be quite a threat for the Indians. But it seems, the hosts India will be making its every bit of effort to send whoever remains in India back to England lamenting the loss of T20Is.

Would it be possible? It would be fun to find out.

The opposing squads for the day are as under:
India
MS Dhoni*†, R Ashwin, P Awana, PP Chawla, AB Dinda, G Gambhir, RA Jadeja, V Kohli, B Kumar, A Mithun, AM Rahane, SK Raina, AT Rayudu, RG Sharma, Yuvraj Singh

England
EJG Morgan*, JM Bairstow, TT Bresnan, DR Briggs, JC Buttler†, JW Dernbach, AD Hales, JAR Harris, MJ Lumb, SC Meaker, SR Patel, JE Root, JC Tredwell, LJ Wright

Umpires S Asnani and C Shamsuddin

The match is scheduled from 13-17 December starting at 19:00 local time (13:30 GMT) at Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium, Pune.
