It is not the first time that the both ladies are meeting - in fact Monday's face off is their 9th. In the previous eight encounters since 2002, Kim Clijsters has a winning edge of 7-1 over the Serbian. Kim last beat Jankovic at WTA Doha 62-63 in the Robin.
