Watch History in Making Sunday 10 June at Roland Garros

Sunday 10th June, that is today, is going to be a history making day in the game of tennis at the men's single final of Roland Garros or popularly the French Open.

Today in the men's single final two great names in the world of tennis, world no.1 Serb Novak Djokovic and world no.3 and Roland Garros defending champion Spaniard Rafael Nadal meet and whoever wins, will go down in the history of tennis.

Legendary Bjorn Borg who won French Open title for six times

Rafael Nadal, the defending champion, has already won the Roland Garros men's single title for six time - equalling record of Bjorn Borg. If he wins today, he will become the first man ever in history of tennis and Roland Garros to have won the Roland Garros title for the seventh time.

Novak Djokovic, who already hold the Wimbledon, the US Open and Australian Open titles, is eyeing the Roland Garros silverware today to become only the thrid man in the histry of tennis to hold this honour.

Don Budge [L] and Rod Laver [R]: Two men in history have won all four Grand Slam titles

Last time someone had the record was 43 years ago in 1969 when Australian Rod laver had had all four titles with him. Before him, Don Budge won all four men's singles Majors in 1938.

So let us watch today Djokovic against Nadal and see who out of the two writes history.

The History Making French Open 2012 Tennis Championship finally comes to start from 27 May onward.

Who would be the King

This year's men's singles title has two historic records in the offing:

The world no.3 Spaniard Rafael Nadal is attempting to defend his title for the record seventh time. Last year he equaled the record of six successive wins by the legendary Bjorn Borg.

On the other hand, world no.1 Serbian Novak Djokovic  may become the first man in history after 1969 to hold four major titles at one time. The Serb already hold the Wimbledon, US Open and the Australian Open titles. Wining the the French title will him seond man after Rod Laver who held four records in 1969.

Who would be the king? Well as predicted by World No.2 Roger Federer, Nadal stands better chances that the Serb for his mastery over the red clay. So it is going to be a better of giants this year with big names like Djokovic, Federer, Nadal and Murray trying to outscore each other.

Li defends her title, while Sharapova and Serena all set to challenge

On the ladies side, Chinese Na Li who made headlines last year for being the first Chinese to win the French Open, is preparing to defend her title. But the World No.2 Russian Maria Sharapova, who is in her best form is also eyeing the title.  But there is Serena Williams, who after a brief spell of absence, is playing tennis superbly this year. So both Sharapova and Serena could be a potential threat to Miss Li - if she lets them.
