Villa surpises Stoke by 3-1 win

Stoke City would not have ever imagined it - but so it was when Villa surprised them thoroughly by a 3-1 win in the series of Premier League matches.

Aston Villa took the lead right in the 9th minute when  Agbonlahor scored the opener.

But then there was no nets and Villa continued to prevail upon the Stoke. Stoke were booed off at half-time and the Potters produced nothing to improve their fans' mood after the interval.

It was in the 80th minute that Kightly rebounded and scored the equalizer  At this stage it lokked that with just ten minutes in hand, the match will end in a draw.

But Villians were not resting and there came two goals in the 87th and 90th minute by Lowton and Benteke which really surprised the Stokes and dashed any hopes for a draw.

Chelsea vs. Stoke City Watch Live Free Streaming | Premier League - 12 January 2013

After a brief pause the Premier League matches are back again. We see Chelsea, the troubled football club under its interim and controvercial manager Rafa, facing 10th placed Stoke City Saturday afternoon today.

The good news for the Blues is that Captain John Terry is in Chelsea's squad - but will not start the game, says interim manager Rafael Benitez.

It may be added that Terry has missed 16 first-team games since suffering knee ligament damage against Liverpool on Nov 11 but he started the local derby against Fulham at the club's Cobham training ground.

The Blues, at fourth slot on the points table, are still struggling to move up to the third slot which they have occupied for long and has now been taken over by the Spurs - though with only a margin of one point.

The chances of Chelsea of winning Stoke City are still brighter as Stoke have not won a home match with Chelsea since two goals from Terry Conroy helped them win 3-0 in April 1975.

The possible opposing squads for Saturday's match are:
Stoke (Possible, 4-4-2): Begovic; Cameron, Shawcross, Huth, Wilkinson; Walters, Nzonzi, Adam, Whelan; Jerome, Jones.

Chelsea (Possible, 4-2-3-1): Cech; Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Cahill, Cole; Luiz, Lampard; Ramires, Mata, Hazard; Ba.

Referee: Andre Marriner (Matches 12, R0 Y43)

The match is scheduled for Saturday 12 January, 15:00 GMT at the Britannia Stadium.

Watch Live Manchester City vs Stoke City Free Streaming | Premier League - New Year Day: 1 January 2013

On the first day of the year 2013, the Citizens, sitting on the notch below the Red Devils on the points table, host the Potters on 8th position with 29 points Tuesday at the Etihad Stadium.

Man City are not perhaps the defensive force they were in their Premier League title winning pomp, as evidenced by the three goals they shipped in at Carrow Road on the weekend, and as such Roberto Mancini may feel that a move for the Stoke City defender would be a wise one worth considering.

Whilst a move to the Etihad Stadium would perhaps be a contentious one for the former Man United man to consider the England defender could well feel that such a switch would be beneficial for his future career progression.

On the other hand, Stoke City’s success in recent years has stemmed largely down to their defensive soundness, indeed even though the Britannia Stadium side conceded three at home to Southampton in their last fixture they still possess the best defensive record in the top tier.

So let us watch the Citizens vs the Potters on the New Year Day at Etihad Stadium and find out if Citizens can contain the Stoke City and move closer to the Red Devils.

The match is scheduled for Tuesday, 1 January, 16:00 GMT at Etihad Stadium.

Watch Live West Ham United vs Stoke City Free Streaming | Premeir League: 19 November

Monday night tonight West Ham United host Stoke City on Monday night hoping to make it seven Barclays Premier League points from a possible nine at Upton Park. Fresh off the back of a fantastic 1-0 win away at Newcastle United on Sunday 11 November, Hammers return to the ground where they held champions Manchester City to a deserved draw last time out on Saturday 3 November.

And there is something special for West Ham tonight as a win can place them at the fifth spot in the Preminger League after dropping one place following Arsenal's 5-2 home win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday - and within three points of third-place Chelsea. West Ham is presently seated at the seventh position with 18 points while the Stoke City are way behind at the 14th position with 12 points.

While West Ham could move into a Europa League position, Stoke's record of drawing games - they have shared the points in six of their 11 Premier League matches and won only twice - means they sit 14th, just three points above Aston Villa in the relegation zone.

The Hammers and the Potters have kept the joint-most clean sheets in the Barclays Premier League this season with five. Norwich City have also pitched five shut-outs following Saturday's 1-0 home win over Manchester United.

Would the Hammers get the 5th slot on the points table tonight?

Let us watch he match to see, which is scheduled for Monday, 19  November 2012 at 20:00 GMT at Upton Park.

Owen was urged to stay at Old Trafford by Sir Alex Ferguson a year ago but made only four first-team appearances for United in 2011-12.

The former England forward, 32, is now with Stoke City after signing a one-year deal with the club last week.

Watch Online Live Tottenham Hotspur vs Stoke City: English Premier League Soccer 22 March

Tonight, besides Man City meeting The Blues, another interesting match goes into play between The Hotspurs and the Stoke City.

The Hotspurs are in hot waters has they have lost last three of their matches and upon top of it they face a rather hostile and offensive Stoke City Wednesday. Stoke City have already won twice and may give the Tottenham a tough time.  The Hotspurs may not have forgotten their defeat at the hand of the Stoke City in September last when the Stoke City knocked out the Hotspurs on penalties after a 0-0 draw in the Carling Cup.

Stoke City seems in full gear in the Premier League matches as they have scored the highest proportion of set piece goals in the Premier League (59 per cent). And while Stoke City have scored a league high 37 per cent of their goals from headers, Spurs have netted a league-low proportion of 4 per cent of their goals from headers.

So one can make out what is going to be the outcome of the game. But remember, there are always surprises as we had in the Indian Wells tennis recently when the defending champion Djokovic crashed out in the semi despite being hot favourite.

The probable opposing teams are:

Tottenham (4-4-2): Friedel; Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto; Bale, Parker, Sandro, Modric, Defoe, Adebayor.
Stoke (4-4-2): Begovic; Wilkinson, Shawcross, Huth, Wilson; Shotton, Whelan, Whitehead, Etherington; Crouch, Walters.
Referee: Mick Jones (Matches 17, R5 Y68).

The match commences 19:45 GMT at White Hart Lane
