Chelsea Beat Liverpool to Win its Fourth FA Cup


London's Wembley Stadium was jam packed Saturday as Chelsea and Liverpool entered the arena to play the coveted FA Cup Final.

Saturday's final was also important for the reason that it provided both Chelsea and Liverpool a distraction from miserable Premier League seasons, with both teams out of the top four Champions League qualification places.

When asked, a majority favoured the Red for the Cup  as Liverpool were everyone's favourite. But the Blues were to give everyone a big surprise as they scored the first goal to give a jolt to the Reds.

The first goal came in the 11th minutes by Ramires. And then in the 52nd, Drogba scored his eighth goal in eight games at Wembley. This gave a decisive upper edge to the Blues over the Reds.

Although, Liverpool substitute Andy Carroll scored in the 64th minute, but that was the last goal of the day and the Blues came out victorious in winning the FA Cup for the fourth time. 

After winning the Curling Cup earlier in February, Liverpool was trying to win its second domestic trophy of the season - but Chelsea would not let them.


Now it is Chelsea who are vying for a bigger challenge when they play the Champions League final on 19 May against Bayern Munich. The win Saturday does give them more confidence and strength to win the second cup. However it remains to be seen whether the Blues can have the second trophy of the season or...
