India vs Pakistan: ICC Champions Trophy - 10th Match | Watch Live Free Streaming - 15 June

The  10th match of the ICC Champions Trophy is being played between India and Pakistan of Group B at Edgbaston, Birmingham Saturday morning today.

Although Pakistan has lost all its chances to be in the ICC Champions Trophy by losing all its group matches, this last group match is otherwise is meaningless as far the tournament is concerned. But meeting of India and Pakistan always draw large crowds and that too in Birmingham which is house to majority Pakistan and Indian families.

Therefore we see today a match between two countries with their long standing rivalry in cricket amid a volatile and emotionally charged crowd. For face saving, Pakistan would try its best to win the match, which though now seems very unlikely, as India which has already qualified for the semis by winning all its matches will like to maintain the winning momentum before playing semis.

From being the underdogs before the Champions Trophy began, India have become the team to beat. The last time both teams played, in India earlier this year, Pakistan had won the ODI series. One of the biggest factors behind India's struggle back then was the lack of momentum created by the openers.

So let us this match - a match being played for the crowd of both countries and to win over against the other - in fact today's match is more like a WWE's wrestling with lot of beating, action, suspense and drama. One can imagine the crowd interest from the fact that the tickets for the game were sold out within 30 minutes of being made available online.

The likely opposing squads are as under:
India squad

England beat Australia by 48 runs in the 3rd ODI of the ICC Champions Trophy Group A match Saturday tonight at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

England which won the toss, chose to bat and scored 269/9 in fifty overs. Bell scored impressive 91, followed by Bopara's 46 and Cooks 30. JP Faulkner bowled Bell and Butler for 48.

Australia vs England: ICC Champions Trophy - 3rd ODI - Group A | Watch Live Free Streaming - 8 June

The third ODI of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy is being played between Australia and England from Group A at Edgbaston, Birmingham Saturday morning today.

Australia is in a state of crisis - an irredeemable batting display saw them bowled out for 65 by India and, to make matters worse, the chronic back complaint that ruled their captain, Michael Clarke out of this match, has yet to respond to treatment.

As for England, it will find it a welcome change to be playing somebody different from New Zealand. They beat them 2-1 in New Zealand then lost by the same scoreline in England. It is time for a new challenge.

The likely opposing teams for the match are:
Australia squad
MJ Clarke*, GJ Bailey, NM Coulter-Nile, XJ Doherty, JP Faulkner, PJ Hughes, MG Johnson, CJ McKay, MR Marsh, GJ Maxwell, MA Starc, AC Voges, MS Wade†, DA Warner, SR Watson

England squad
AN Cook*, JM Anderson, JM Bairstow, IR Bell, RS Bopara, TT Bresnan, SCJ Broad, JC Buttler†, ST Finn, EJG Morgan, JE Root, GP Swann, JC Tredwell, IJL Trott, CR Woakes

Umpires HDPK Dharmasena and M Erasmus

As for the pitch and weather conditions, England is enjoying one of its most settled spells of summer weather in recent years and it is set to continue over the weekend. That could negate the threat of two new balls as batting conditions are more comfortable than anticipated. The bowlers can expect some more unsettled weather, especially in Cardiff, reports cricinfo.

The match is scheduled on Saturday, 8 June (09:30 GMT) | at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

Lee calls it quits after Edgbaston career highlight

The Australian fast bowler Brett Lee retired from international cricket yesterday, claiming he woke up in the morning and decided "enough is enough".

Brett says he can no longer offer the required commitment to succeed at the highest level after almost 12 and a half years of donning the Baggy Green. "The last two or three nights I thought about it a lot," Lee said. "I woke up this morning and just felt like I was ready.

The 35-year-old was expected to stand down after the World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka later this year but decided to bring his retirement forward after questioning his appetite for battle.

England vs Australia 3rd ODI: Free Live Streaming | Series victory in sight for England?

The third ODI between hosts England and visitors Australia is being played at Edgbaston, Birmingham Wednesday afternoon.

The hosts England, already 2-0 up in the five ODI series are looking for a third win today to take the series. Therefore, the visitors must win today's match and the ones following to win over England, something which is not likely in sight.

While the visitors seem to let each match slipping out of their hands, the hosts have everything perfectly in order for a win, unless the mostly cloudy weather brings rain in favour of the visitors, if they are lsoing.

Butr so far, the Aussies have both faltering batting and bowling, as was witnessed at Oval in the second ODI, which is least likely to take him on the path to victory.

The opposing teams for the 3rd ODI are as under:

England: AN Cook*, JM Anderson, JM Bairstow, IR Bell, RS Bopara, TT Bresnan, SCJ Broad, ST Finn, C Kieswetter†, EJG Morgan, SR Patel, GP Swann, IJL Trott, CR Woakes

Australia: MJ Clarke*, SR Watson, GJ Bailey, XJ Doherty, PJ Forrest, BW Hilfenhaus, DJ Hussey, MG Johnson, B Lee, CJ McKay, JL Pattinson, SPD Smith, MS Wade†, DA Warner

Test cricket record for No.11 batsman

Tino Best's astounding 95, the highest ever score by a Test No 11, rocked England at Edgbaston here on Sunday.

England, at stumps on the fourth day of the third Test, were 221 for five -- a deficit of 205 runs and still needing a further 56 to avoid the follow-on -- with Ian Bell 76 not out.

A West Indies' 10th-wicket Test record stand of 143 -- the third highest in all Tests for the last wicket -- of 143 between wicket-keeper Denesh Ramdin, who made 107 not out, and Best took the tourists to 426 all out.

3rd Test between England and West Indies starts on Third Day

This may be amazing that the 3rd test match between England and visiting West Indies cricket teams starts on the third day, rather than the first day.

The rains and gales that have hit the UK, including Edgbaston caused the delay and did not allow the play to even commence on the first two days. The match planned from 7-11 June, is actually being played only for three days now from 9-11 June, provided weather allows it so.

As for now, England has won the toss and has elected to bat and the match is in play.

Watch Live England vs West Indies: Third Test - Edgbaston, Jun 7-11, 2012

When the England meets West Indies at Edgbaston Thursday for their third test (June 7-11), they may be faced with the same dilemma of spinners as against Pakistan's Saeed Ajmal in their last face off in UAE earlier this year. This time it is 24 years old Narine, who has flown in on Sunday from Trinidad. Although he has yet to play in test cricket, but his excellent performance of 11 wickets in the five ODIs series against Australia earlier this year which worries the Englishmen.

England has therefore making changes - something like a grand plan by leaving out Anderson, and possibly Broad too.

England is aiming at a clean sweep out of this dead test while West Indies with the inclusion of Narine could hope of some face saving, if the 'magical spinner' can spellbound the hosts' batsmen. Let us watch and see if only one spinner can make their difference in his very first test debut or not.

The probable opposing squad for the third test between England and West Indies are as under:

England: AJ Strauss*, JM Bairstow, IR Bell, TT Bresnan, SCJ Broad, AN Cook, ST Finn, G Onions, KP Pietersen, MJ Prior†, GP Swann, IJL Trott

West Indies: DJG Sammy*, KA Edwards, AB Barath, TL Best, DM Bravo, S Chanderpaul, N Deonarine, FH Edwards, AB Fudadin, SP Narine, KOA Powell, D Ramdin†, R Rampaul, MN Samuels, S Shillingford

The match is scheduled from 7-11 June at Edgbaston 2012, the match starting daily at 10:00 GMT

Anderson rested ahead of third Test against Windies

James Anderson has been left out of the 12-man squad for the third Test against the West Indies at Edgbaston starting on Thursday.

The England Cricket Board said that the 29-year-old has been rested ahead of a busy summer schedule.

Notably Anderson had reckoned a few days ago that he was fit to play in the third Test. His statement could likely create a rift between him and the board officials.

Anderson is likely to be replaced by either Steven Finn or Graham Onions.
