Watch Live FINA / ARENA Swimming World Cup - Beijing | 2-3 November 2012




The FINA / ARENA Swimming World Cup 2012 is being held from 2-3 November at National Aquatics Centre, Beijing, China.

The FINA Swimming World Cup is a series of eight (8), two-day, short course meets in eight different cities of the world held in October and November 2012. The eight cities for 2012 include Dubai (UAE), Doha (Qatar), Moscow (Russia), Berlin (Germany), Beijing (China), Tokyo (Japan) and Singapore.

The championship is now being held in the sixth city, i.e. Beijing, China after Berlin Germany.

The Cup is also known as FINA/ARENA Swimming World Cup as ARENA is the title of the sposor of the swimming world cup.

The various swimming events spread over two days, that is 2-3 November are scheduled to start at 11:15 GMT at National Aquatics Centre, Beijing, China.

US swim star Michael Phelps holds off team-mate to land 16th gold


American swimmer Michael Phelps won his duel in the pool with USA team-mate Ryan Lochte last night to scoop his 16th Olympic gold medal and 20th in total.
The 27-year-old led from start to finish in the 200 metres individual medley and held off fast-finishing Lochte to win in one minute 54.27 seconds.
It means Phelps is the first man to win the event at three consecutive Games and it came just 48 hours after he won his 18th and 19th medals to become the most decorated Olympian in history.
Lochte, who finished third in the 200m backstroke final 30 minutes earlier, took silver in 1:54.90, with Hungary’s Laszlo Cseh landing bronze.

Olympics Swimming: French revenge for 2008 relay loss to U.S.

Ryan Lochte grabbed at the edge of the pool, head down, staring at the water. Michael Phelps glared at the scoreboard, trying to digest the first silver medal of his Olympic career.
Right beside them, the French celebrated - as it was just like 2008 but with the roles reversed.
This time, it was France chasing down the United States — and Lochte, no less — to win another riveting relay at the Olympics.
"We got our revenge," French swimmer Clement Lefert said.

Dana Vollmer sets World Record: Wins Olympic Gold In 100M Butterfly


Dana Vollmer of the United States set a world record to win the 100-meter butterfly at the London Olympics on Sunday.
Vollmer was third at the turn and hit the wall in 55.98 seconds to shave 0.08 off the previous mark set by Sarah Sjostrom of Sweden at the 2009 world championships in Rome.
Vollmer had set an Olympic record in Saturday morning's heats. She missed qualifying for the 2008 Beijing Games.
Lu Ying of China touched second in 56.87 and Alicia Coutts of Australia finished third in 56.94.

Munoz Perez and Grigoriadis win European Long Course Championships swimming titles

Rafael Munoz Perez and Aristeidis Grigoriadis win swimming titles – European Long Course Championships.

Rafael Munoz Perez and Aristeidis Grigoriadis won gold medals of Men’s 50m butterfly and 100m backstroke respectively at the European Long Course Championships.
First final of the session was 50m butterfly, where Munoz Perez cruised his way towards the finishing wall as fastest swimmer and submitted a time of 23.16 seconds for gold medal.

Watch Live Online 31st LEN European Swimming Championships Free Streaming


The European Aquatics Championships is organized by the Ligue EuropĂ©enne de Natation or simply LEN, the governing body for aquatics in Europe. However since 1999, four more disciplines have also been added to the championship which includes:  swimming, diving, synchronized swimming and open water swimming.

For the year 2012, the championship is being held from 15-27 May both at Hungary (Debrecen) and Netherlands (Eindhoven).


The matches are Tuesday, May 22 are scheduled to start at 07:30 GMT
