This is the second time that Djokovic is meeting Becker, who is six years elder to the Serbian. They first met in the Australian Open's first round in 2008 when Djokovic beat Becker 6-0 6-2 7-6(5).

This year, Djokovic is not himself as he has lost thrice in his last ten matches at the hands of Murray (Wimbledon 2013), Nadal (Montreal) and Inser at Cincinnati recently. To win US Open is a far fetched dream for now as many hurdles lie in between before he reaches the semis. Djokovic moved to the second round beating R. Berankis 6-1 6-2 6-2. 

The match is scheduled for August 30, 2013 at 17:00 GMT at the Arthur Ashe stadium.

Sharapova vs Bouchard: Roland Garros - 2nd Round | Watch Live Free Streaming - 30 May 2013

77th ranked Canada's Eugenie Bouchard will take Court Philippe Chatrier on Thursday morning to face defending champion second seed Russian Maria Sharapova at the Day-5 of the French Open.

This will be the second time that Bouchard has faced Sharapova. The two met at the Sony Open in Miami back in March with Sharapova cruising to a 6-2, 6-0 victory in the second round.

Sharapova who withdrew from her match against Sara Errani in Rome recently, moved to the second round beating Hsieh 6-2, 6-1. As for the Canadaian, she beat T. Pironkova 6-1 7-6(2) to meet the Russian today.

Nadal vs Klizan: Roland Garros - 2nd Round | Watch Live Free Streaming - 30 May 2013

Klizan has not had a very good track record recently as he has lost six of his last ten matches, five on clay. He last lost to Montanes in Rome this year 3-6 7-5 6-3. He moved to the second round after an unfinished match against M Russell 3-6, 6-3, 6-1. Although Klizan is left-handed and therefore at more of an advantage than most players vs. Nadal, he should struggle to contain Rafa's forehand from the start.

Nadal is moving forward confidently though one can see strains and pain due to his injuries.

Williams beat Anna Tatishvili, 6-0, 6-1, on Sunday - the opening day at the French Open, while Garcia beat Beygelzimer 6-3 6-4. Interestingly, Garcia lost to A. Tatishvili 6-7(4) 7-5 6-4 at Strasbourg before the French Open this year.

Almsot 32 years old Serena should not find it difficult to beat her French opponenent who is more than eight years younger to her.

Robson loses to Serena Williams in Rome

Britain's Laura Robson's joy was short lived after she defeated Venus Williams in the first round of the Italian Open as Venus' younger sister struck her in the second round to avenge her sister's defeat.

World no.1  American Serena Williams, the younger sister of Venus, showed Robson the way out of ROme when she defeated her 6-2, 6-2 Tuesday.

Williams, 31, will play Melanie Oudin or Dominika Cibulkova in round three.

The defeat dents the 19-year-old Briton's hopes of being among the 32 seeds at this month's French Open.

In the meanwhile, there were surprise defeats for fourth seed Radwanska, 10th seed Caroline Wozniacki and 15th seed Ana Ivanovic at the Foro Italico. Simona Halep of Romania upset Radwanska 6-7 (2-7) 6-1 6-2, Serbia's Bojana Jovanovski inflicted a third straight defeat on Wozniacki, 2-6 6-4 7-6 (7-5), and Urszula Radwanska defeated Ivanovic, 6-3 2-6 6-2.

After the unceremonial ouster of world no.1 Novak Djokovic in the second round, Rafael Nadal, the world no. 5 from Spain, plays his second round match against 37th ranked Benoit Paire of France Wednesday today.

Benoit Paire qualified on Tuesday for the second round of the Madrid. The French beat Brazilian Joao Souza (6-1, 7-6 [0]). However  the French has had a rather poor performance in the last ten matches he played, losing four.

Nadal recently faced Benoit Paire for the first time in his career in the third round of ATP Barcelona and defeated the French 7-6(2) 6-2. Nadal has lost to Djokovic in Monte Carlo and with his ouster may find a smooth sailing at least to the semis.

Novak Djokovic Ousted from Madrid by Grigor Dimitrov

The second round match between world no.1 Serbian Novak Djokovic and 28th ranked Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov was a total fiasco and a great setback for the world no.1 as Grigor Dimitrov sent him out of Madrid in a show of force match.

Grigor Dimitrov  beat Djokovic 7-6 (8-6) 6-7 (8-10) 6-3.

Perhaps it was Djokovic's knee that did not support his form and game as he came tro Madrid after winning his third title of the year at last month's Monte Carlo Masters.

Dimitrov, who beat Javier Marti in the first round, too had an injury break of his own and looked physically drained after the second set.

Dimitrov won the Wimbledon and US Open junior titles in 2008 and has long been seen as a future star and potential world number one.

Shanghai Rolex Masters 2012 Tennis: Results 2nd Round

The 2nd round results of the men's single event at Shanghai Rolex Masters 2012 held on Wednesday 10th October, some on 9th October, are as under:

As can be seen that almost all results are as expected except the match between Olympic Gold Medlaist British Andy Murray against Florian Mayer. In this case, Florian Mayer withdrew from the match due to rib injury, allowing a clear run to the British for the third round.

Murray will now face the world number 20 Alexandr Dolgopolov on Thursday for a place in the quarter finals.

Olympic Tennis: Djokovic and Venus William reach Third Round

World no.3 Serbian Novak Djokovic thrashed American Andy Roddick6-2 6-1 in the round two of the Olympics tennis men's singles event match and moves on to round three. The match was played Tuesday afternoon.

For the second seeded Serbian, who is the Beijing bronze medalist, Roddick did not pose much of a problem and the match was over in just 54 miniutes.

Djokovic would now face Australian Lleyton Hewitt, who beat 13th seed Marin Cilic 6-4 7-5, in the third round.

In the women singles event, American Venus Williams moves a step closer to her fourth Olympic gold, as she beat Canadian  Aleksandra Wozniak 6-1 6-3  to reach the tird round.

Nadal ouster by Lukas Rosol: Video Highlights

The ouster of record seven times Ronald Garros title winner and world no.2 Spaniard Rafael Nadal by a 100th rank Lukas Rosol is nothing but shocking. While the fans were waiting for Rafa to move to the final and avenge his last year's defeat in the finals at the hands of Djokovic, the awe stricken news must have befallen on them like a thunder bolt - and also on Rafa himself.

After recovering from his injury earlier this year, Nadal has been sailing comfortably without any mishap except at Halle when he was beaten by P. Kohlschreiber 6-3 6-4.

But an ouster right in the very ewarly stage of a Grand Slam is something that was nothing but shocking and dismaying. It really hurt Rafa's fans all over the world for bowing out of the second round of the prestigeous Wimbledon.

It would take time for both Rafa and his fan to overcome the shock they sustained Thursday night seeing a king falling on green grass of London.

Continuing with the second round of matches at Roland Garros Wednesday, World No.2 Swiss Reoger Federer meets 92nd ranked Romanian Adrian Ungur at Court Philippe Chatrier.

Both players have never palyed against each other before, however the outcome of the match can be predicted in certain terms as Federer remains a hot facvourite.

Federer has been playing fine and has only lost one of his last ten matches to Djokovic at Rome. He beat T. Kamke 6-2 7-5 6-3 in the first round of the on going matches of Roland Garros Tuesday. By beating Kamke, Federer won his 233rd Grand Slam match, matching the record held by Jimmy Connor. 

Ungur is not in a fighting form as he has lost six of his last ten matches played in 2012 so far. He lost to Monaco 6-2 6-2 in Rome recently.

The match is scheduled for Wednesday, 30 May 2012 at 12:30 GMT on Court Philippe Chatrier.
