Citizens rout Spur 6-0 while Cardiff draws match with Devils 2-2

In two interesting matches on Sunday, Manchester City routed Tottenham 6-0 to reassert their title credentials and move six points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal.

Right from minute ONE, the Citizens dominated the Spurs when Jesús Navas scored the first goal. Interestingly, he scored ther sixth goal too in the 90th minute to seal a 6-0 victory over the Spurs.

The other four goals came in 34th minute by Sandro - an OG, followed by one each by Agüero and Negredo inn 41st and 55th minutes.

In the second match 6th placed Devils found it difficult to handle 15th placed Cardiff and ended the match in a 2-2 draw.

Devils opened the accountt in 15 th minutes by Rooney, which was equalised by Campbell in 33rd minute. Evra again let the Devils lead by 2-1 when he scored the second goal in 45th minute.

It seemed from thereafter as if the Devils will not let the Cardiff any more chances to goal and win the match. But Kim was restless as he scored the equaliser in 90th minutes to draw the match 2-2. A great shock for the Devils indeed.

After Sunday's matches, the points table stands as under:

England vs Australia: 4th ODI - Cardiff | Watch Free Live Streaming - 14 September

The ongoing four ODI series between England and Australia has been curtailed to three match contest after the abandonment at Edgbaston. And Saturday today we watch the match live from Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.

Although the weather forecast has been predicted as 'decent' and  hopefully this match will be uninterrupted - but this time it is the pitch which is unpredictable. It has behaved differently for different matches - but it sure does favours quicker bowlers

As for the Australians, they have had win over Cardiff only once against Pakistan in 2001. As for the Englishmen  they have played six times at Cardiff but on only three occasions have they completed the match - the rest being rained off.

Of those three matches, England have won them all, including beating Australia by four wickets in 2010. This makes the match today interesting as England team with its rather new and inexperienced squad faces waning Australia team. Who dominates who - well we will know after a few hours.

And there is one thing more to today's ODI - George Bailey is 30 runs short of 1000 in ODIs. So let us see him completing his 1000 today.

The likely opposing squads are as under for today's match:
England:
EJG Morgan*, RS Bopara, JC Buttler†, MA Carberry, ST Finn, CJ Jordan, J Overton, KP Pietersen, WB Rankin, JE Root, BA Stokes, JC Tredwell, IJL Trott, LJ Wright

Australia:
MJ Clarke*, GJ Bailey, NM Coulter-Nile, JP Faulkner, Fawad Ahmed, AJ Finch, JR Hazlewood, PJ Hughes, MG Johnson, CJ McKay, SE Marsh, GJ Maxwell, AC Voges, MS Wade†, SR Watson

Umpires RJ Bailey and S Ravi

The match is scheduled to begin 14 September 2013 at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff at 10:15 local time (09:15 GMT)

India vs Sri Lanka: ICC Champions Trophy - Second Semi final | Watch Live Free Streaming - 20 June

The second semi final of the ICC Champions Trophy is being played between India and Sri Lanka at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff Thursday morning today. In fact today's show off is the clash of two Superpowers of Cricket in subcontinent.

In the first semi final, England beat South Africa by seven wickets and now await the winner of today's semi final in the final to be played on coming Sunday.

For today's match analysts are of the view that more than the pitch, which is contrasting in nature, the weather will be key - light to heavy rain is expected through the day, which will lead to a curtailed match or, at worst, a washout.

So in case if today's semi hit by the rains and results into a washout, India, by virtue of its strong standing in the Group B would go through forward. So it is the luck which will be dominant more today rather than the game.

But if weather stays clear and in favour of Sri Lanka, even then  India have an upper hand in batting and fielding. But at the same time should be careful with Sanga and Mahela, only the 2 players are in good touch. Sri Lanka has a slight upper hand in their fast bowling than India, but we never seem to be struggling against them in the recent past years. So, if weather stays clear, we have good chance to go and beat the Lankans since almost all the 11 Indian players are in good shape to give enough chance to overcome the Islanders.

The likely opposing squads are as under:
India squad
MS Dhoni*†, R Ashwin, S Dhawan, RA Jadeja, KD Karthik†, V Kohli, B Kumar, A Mishra, IK Pathan, SK Raina, I Sharma, RG Sharma, M Vijay, R Vinay Kumar, UT Yadav

Sri Lanka squad
AD Mathews*, LD Chandimal, LHD Dilhara, TM Dilshan, RMS Eranga, HMRKB Herath, DPMD Jayawardene, KMDN Kulasekara, SL Malinga, BMAJ Mendis, MDKJ Perera, NLTC Perera, KC Sangakkara†, SMSM Senanayake, HDRL Thirimanne

Umpires  Aleem Dar and RA Kettleborough

The match is scheduled on Thursday, 20 June (09:30 GMT) | at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.

South Africa - West Indies: ICC Champions Trophy - 9th Match | Watch Live Free Streaming - 14 June

The 9th match of the ICC Champions Trophy is being played between South Africa and West Indies of Group B at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff Friday morning today.

Today's match is important for both teams as the winner of the Group B match in Cardiff will secure a place in the semi-finals alongside India.

"I think the South Africans will feel the pressure - They have a tag of being chokers that do not do well in big tournaments, so that would be added pressure on them," said Bravo. "They know if they lose, they are going back home.

South Africa Test captain Graeme Smith, who is not part of the one-day squad because of an ankle injury, responded to Bravo's comments by writing on Twitter:  "Never mind pressure on Proteas, Dwayne Bravo just put it all on himself! Not the smartest move from him I reckon."

Captain AB de Villiers looks set to be able to call of Dale Steyn for the first time in the tournament, after the pace bowler missed the opening defeat by India and the victory over Pakistan with a side strain.

The likely opposing squads are as under:
South Africa squad
AB de Villiers*†, HM Amla, F Behardien, JP Duminy, F du Plessis, CA Ingram, RK Kleinveldt, R McLaren, DA Miller, CH Morris, AN Petersen, RJ Peterson, AM Phangiso, DW Steyn, LL Tsotsobe

West Indies squad
DJ Bravo*, D Ramdin†, TL Best, DM Bravo, J Charles, CH Gayle, JO Holder, SP Narine, KA Pollard, R Rampaul, KAJ Roach, DJG Sammy, MN Samuels, RR Sarwan, DS Smith

Umpires  SJ Davis and RJ Tucker

The match is scheduled on Friday, 14 June (09:30 GMT) | at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.

New Zealand vs Sri Lanka: ICC Champions Trophy | Watch Live Free Streaming - 9 June

The 4th ODI of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy is being played between New Zealand and Sri Lanka from Group A at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff Sunday morning today.

New Zealand with a sky high morale after a 2-1 series win over England, New Zealand would look to carry their good form into the Champions Trophy when they clash with Sri Lanka in a Group A match today.

But the Sri Lanka are no less charged either. They have an overwhelming record of winning 10 of their last 11 ODI matches and six in a row against the Kiwis.

However, the Kiwis are also perhaps the best acclimatised side after hosts England having spent some good amount of time here. They know the conditions well which will help them sort out their team combination quickly.

Although Sri Lanka have a plethora of good bowlers, specially spinners, however like Pakistan their big worry is their batting. Neither the top-order nor the middle order batsmen are in good form. Mahela Jaywardene and Kumar Sangakkara never looked in good touch during the recent IPL. Therefore, it is more likely that Sri Lanka will be relying on their spinners to dismantle as many Kiwi batsmen as early as possible to compensate for their humble batting line.

The likely opposing teams for the match are:
New Zealand squad
BB McCullum*, DAJ Bracewell, IG Butler, GD Elliott, JEC Franklin, MJ Guptill, MJ McClenaghan, NL McCullum, KD Mills, C Munro, L Ronchi†, TG Southee, LRPL Taylor, DL Vettori, KS Williamson

Sri Lanka squad
AD Mathews*, LD Chandimal, LHD Dilhara, TM Dilshan, RMS Eranga, HMRKB Herath, DPMD Jayawardene, KMDN Kulasekara, SL Malinga, BMAJ Mendis, MDKJ Perera, NLTC Perera, KC Sangakkara†, SMSM Senanayake, HDRL Thirimanne

Umpires BNJ Oxenford and RJ Tucker

The 4th ODI is scheduled on Sunday, 9 June (09:30 GMT) | at  Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.

India - South Africa: ICC Champions Trophy | Watch Live Free Streaming - 6 June - 1st ODI

The ICC Champions Trophy 2013 starts today with much pomp and show in England today with the first match of Group B being played between India and South Africa at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.

The last time India played South Africa in an ODI was in the 2011 World Cup. None of players that participated in the World Cup are playing today in ICC Champions Trophy.

Likewise, South Africa are also missing some of their legendary names, like Graeme Smith and Jacques Kallis.

As for the prospects of the match today for South Africa, one can look back and find South Africa to have the worst ODI record in England over the past six years, having won only two matches in 10. As for the Indians, they have won both their encounters against South Africa in the Champions Trophy, the last of which was in 2002. Of those who played that 2002 fixture, only Robin Peterson is in the current tournament's squads.

India with the two convincing win in the warm-up games will be high on confidence when they take on South Africa in the opening encounter.

The likely opposing teams for the match are:
India squad
MS Dhoni*†, R Ashwin, S Dhawan, RA Jadeja, KD Karthik†, V Kohli, B Kumar, A Mishra, IK Pathan, SK Raina, I Sharma, RG Sharma, M Vijay, R Vinay Kumar, UT Yadav

South Africa squad
AB de Villiers*†, HM Amla, F Behardien, JP Duminy, F du Plessis, CA Ingram, RK Kleinveldt, R McLaren, DA Miller, M Morkel, AN Petersen, RJ Peterson, AM Phangiso, DW Steyn, LL Tsotsobe

Umpires IJ Gould and BNJ Oxenford

The match is scheduled on Thursday 6 June (09:30 GMT) | at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.
