Farewell 2-1 win by Manchester United for Sir Alex

Sir Alex Ferguson's last match as Manchester United manager brought him a memorable win with a late goal at Old Trafford Sunday yesterday.

When the Red Devils met the Swans, the opened the score in the 39th minute when Hernandez scored the first goal for the Devils in the 39th minute. But it was equalized in the 49th minute by Michu.

Thereafter, it seemed as Sir Alex's farewell will end with a drawn match - but perhaps this was not that something that the Red Devils wanted and continued their level best to win the match for their 71 years old out going manager.

And then just minutes away form the final whistle, Ferdinand struck in the 87th minute to bring a 2-1 victory over the Swansea and pay tribute to Sir Alex - who goes away much satisfied and happy with his farewell win and emotional tribute.

In fact Rio Ferdinand's first goal for five years gave Ferguson three points against Swansea City in his 723rd game at "The Theatre Of Dreams" following the announcement of his retirement after 26 years at the club.

And then there went away the Scot in an atmosphere of celebration and sentimentality, the mood was captured as Frank Sinatra's "My Way" and Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable" played out over the public address system in tribute to Ferguson.

Swansea reach Wmbley Final while Hazard kicked the Ball Boy

It was a sad day at Liberty Stadium last night when a small incident turned everyone sad and disappointed.

Hazard attacking the ball boy [left] - Morgan, the ball boy [right] after the incident

The incident happened when just 10 minutes of play were left in a seemingly goalless drawn match between Chelsea. In an apparent move to retrieve the ball from the ball boy, Eden hazard looked like kicking the ball boy in his ribs.

Although Hazard claims that the ball boy fell over the ball and he was simply trying to retrieve the ball, but the body language of the player and the ball bo do not seem to correspond to the player's statement.

However, Hazard was sent off and shown a red card, while the draw saw Swansea progress to next month’s final against Bradford City.

Hazard will almost certainly be handed a hefty FA sanction. Chelsea and Swansea spokesmen claimed Morgan, whose father is club director Martin Morgan, will not be pressing charges, but the police may yet intervene.

The incident overshadowed Swansea’s remarkable achievement in reaching the first major cup final in their 100-year history.

Swans stun Blues with a victory for first time in 87 years

Swansea City last defeated Chelsea in 1925 - almost 87 years from now and have since then been in pursuit to beat their own record by defeating the Blues.

And Wednesday yesterday they did it with a 2-0 victory over the Blues in the Capital One Cup semi-final first leg at the Stamford Bridge.

It must be a heavy blow to Rafael Benitez as since his taking over the Chelsea, he has not been able to take Chelsea out of crises.

Michu struck the first goal in the 39th minute of the first half and despite a 64% possession of ball by the Blues, the Swans continue to push the Blues to the corner and the second goal came almost moments before the final whistle when Graham scored the second goal in the 90th minute - leaving n chance for the Blues to equalize.

-->

And it was Chelsea defender Ivanovic who faulktered on both occasions to allow the Swans to goal.

The win Wednesday puts Swans firmly in command heading into the second leg at the Liberty Stadium on 23 January as they look to end an almost 100-year wait for a first major trophy.

Swansea City v Arsenal : Watch Live Free Streaming | FA Cup: 6 December

Arsenal travel to South Wales to meet the Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium Sunday afternoon in their bid to win their first trophy since 2005.

Although the Gunners are dominating, yet we may not forget that the Swans have won their last two matches against the visitors. In fact the Gunners were embarrassed by two late goals from Michu when they last met on December 1. And even their last duel at the Liberty Stadium was a stunner for the Gunners.

The Swans have already reached the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup, and have twice qualified for the last four in the FA Cup (1926 and 1964), but have never appeared in the final itself.

So the Swans must eliminate Arsenal to move on in the FA Cup upwards - and for this Swans seems all set to receive the Gunners and may stop the trophy starved visitors in the third round tie.

The match is scheduled for Sunday, 6 December 2013 at 13:30 GMT at Liberty Stadium.

Manchester United v Swansea City Watch Live Free Streaming | Premier League - 23 December

Two matches of Premier League are planned today: Chelsea vs Aston Villa, beside Swans sitting on the 11 position with 23 points daring table top Red Devils Sunday afternoon today when the red Devils travel to the Swans today at the Liberty Stadium.

Manchester United seem in their best form for having won their last five league fixtures and scoring valuable 14 goals.

Swansea on the other hand have already beaten Arsenal at the Emirates and booked a first-ever place in the League Cup semi-final in the New Year.

What it is going to be this afternoon? Well, Swansea have won just one of their past nine league meetings with United, and that came back in January 1982 - almost 30 years ago. For today, Michu is the danger man for Swansea having notched five in the last four league games, but with Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie on fire at the moment, Sir Alex’s men should make it six victories in a row - and this seems more likely.

Arsenal vs Swansea City Watch Live Free Streaming | Premier League: 1 December

The closest match from teams on the points table Saturday afternoon is between 7th placed Arsenal and 8th placed Swansea City at the Emirates Stadium today.

Swansea is recently shown an upward trend and today's encounter is simply a measure either of Swansea's success, or of Arsenal's decline. After two draws, the Gunners look forward to a win today to keep their position stable.

Both teams are almost in the same form and even when they met in their previous six encounters, each got away with three wins.

However moving to Emirates stadium could be a challenge for the Swans as the Gunners have only been defeated once on home soil in the Premier League this term. But with the Swans in their present hifi form, having gone five matches unbeaten, can snub the Gunners and move past them on the points table. But beware Swans: Arsenal are the only team in the Premier League yet to concede a goal in the final 10 minutes of games.

The probable lineups:
Arsenal (Possible, 4-2-3-1): Szczesny; Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs; Arteta, Ramsey; Walcott, Cazorla, Podolski; Giroud.

Swansea (Possible, 4-5-1): Tremmel; Rangel, Williams, Chico, Davies; Britton, Ki, Dyer, De Guzman, Routledge; Michu.

Referee: Mark Clattenburg

The match is scheduled for Saturday 1, December 2012 at 15:00 GMT at the Emirates Stadium.

Blackburn Rovers vs Swansea City: Watch Free Live Streaming 14 April 2012

Today there is yet another interesting match up - Rovers are heading to Liberty Stadium to face the Swansea City. Though out of form, Swansea City are the favourites.

The Rovers need to win the match lest they are dropped out of the race. But Rovers too are out of form and not in a winning setup for quite sometime now - having lost all four of the recent matches. They are presently at 19th standing - a full three points off survival. With just five matches remaining, the Rovers will have to get into aggressive shoes and kick harder for goals to win over the Swansea City, Saturday at Wales.

As for the Swans, ranked 14th are just one point short of the 40-point mark. Like the Rovers, they too have lost all of their four matches - perhaps the worst run of the season.

While the two sides are equally out of form, Swansea have no fresh injury concerns with both Kemy Agustien and Ferrie Bodde out for the season. Rovers are still without Michel Salgado and Vinnie Grella through injury, while striker Anthony Modeste is suspended.

So it remains to be seen who gets who at Liberty Stadium. The Match Kicks off at 15: 00 BST / 14:00 GMT.
