Roddick and Radwanska win the Sport Chek Face Off Exhibition matches at Toronto

The four players playing the Sport Chek Face Off Exhibition matches at Toronto provided the Canadians a good chance to watch their best players playing for them at Air Canada Centre.

In the men's event, former top-ranked tennis star Andy Roddick, who had recently retired on his 30th birthday during the US OPen, defeated Canada's Milos Raonic 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 on Friday night.

Roddick, known as much for his humour as his short fuse, chatted with courtside fans between points and banged his racket repeatedly against the net in mock anger before rallying with two breaks to win the first set.

The recently-retired Roddick had the Air Canada Centre crowd of 6,558 in hysterics in the second set as he imitated fellow tennis stars, such as Maria Sharapova's interminable serve, Rafael Nadal's familiar clothing rituals and Novak Djokovic's dexterity.

Raonic looked on in amusement but didn't take any heat off his serve, pulling ahead 5-3 in the second with a blazing ace. The Texan could only shrug his shoulders after the ball zipped by his head.

The exhibition also featured 15-time Slam champion and world No. 3 Serena Williams taking on world No. 4 Agnieszka Radwanska in a rematch of this year's Wimbledon final, albeit with the stakes decidedly lower.

Radwanska took control of a rather disinterested Williams and took a revenge for Wimbledon, defeating Williams 6-4, 6-4.

While Serena's loss may have amused Radwanska, it is unlikely to linger long with Williams, who is coming off one of the best seasons in her career. After a slow start, she won slam titles in both singles and doubles at Wimbledon, gold in singles and doubles at the London Games, a U.S. Open title and the WTA Championships last month. She also collected titles this year in Charleston, Madrid and Stanford.

Raonic vs Roddick: Watch Live Free Streaming | Sport Chek Face-Off Tennis Exhibition Match, Toronto- 16-17 November Night 2012

The second exhibition match of the night after Serena plays Radwanska  will be played between world no.13 Canadian Milos Raonic and 39th ranked American Andy Roddick at the Air Canada Centre, Toronto, Canada Friday-Saturday night tonight.

Ranoic is the first Canadian to have risen to the 13th world ranking on the men's single table position.

It will be fun for the Roddick fans watching him playing his powerful shots after he announced his retirement on his 30th birthday during the US Open when he crashed out in the fourth round.

The headlining match will mark just the second time Roddick and Raonic have met on the court. The first, a 2011 nail biter in Memphis, saw Raonic lose his first tour final when Roddick put a diving match point past him to win 7-5 in the third set after they’d split a pair of tie breakers, says Joseph Hall at the Star.

The second match of the Sport Chek Face-Off between Raonic and Roddick will be played on night Friday-Saturday, 16-17 November at Air Canada Centre, Toronto, Canada at 02:30 GMT.

Andy Roddick wins Atlanta title

Fourth-seed American Andy Roddick won the ATP Atlanta Open Sunday.

Having lost the first set too easily to the left-hander from Luxembourg 1-6, Roddick regained control over the game and won the next two sets 7-6 (7/2), 6-2. This has been his second title of 2012 after a victory at Eastbourne.

Muller started off well eyeing a first career ATP crown, broke Roddick twice in the opening set. But then a shoulder therapy of Roddick brought him back into the game and the title win. This left Muller to be runner up at Atlanta for the third time since 2005.

Much to the disgust of John Inser who was eyeing his third ATP Atlanata final, and this year without Mardy Fish who crashed out in the second round, fourth seeded Andy Roddick devastated all his dream for an Atlanta crown Saturday. Roddick beat the top seed Inser 6-4, 6-7 (5/7), 6-4 to march into the Atlanta final instead. It is Roddick's fourth win over Inser in their last six matches against each other.

Free Live Streaming: Mahut vs Roddick - French Open (First Round)

Roddick [above] vs Mahut [bottom]
Ranked 29th American Andy Roddick meets 88th ranked Frenchman Nicolas Mahut in the first round of the French Open / Roland Garros Sunday afternoon at the Court Suzanne Lenglen.

Roddick and Mahut met four times before thier Sunday's fifth meeting at French Roland Garros. And it is Andy who has prevailed upon the French 4-0. They last met at ATP Lyon (FRA) in 2008 when Andy beat Mahut 7-6(5) 6-4.

Presently, both palyers do not seem to be in their best as of the last ten matches played, Mahut has lost five, while Andy has lost six. Andy lost all his three successive matches on clay, which put him on a disadvantage as Mahut has lost only of his last three clay matches.

This is certainly not a good state of fitness and when they meet Sunday afternoon, one cannot but hope to see his favourite player winning.

The match is scheduled for Sunday, 27 May 2012 at 15:00 GMT at Court Suzanne Lenglen.

Roger Federer loses flight to Miami - and so does Roddick

Both Federer and Roddick crash out of Miami
While World Numbers 1 and 2 Djokovic and Nadal moved to the quarterfinals of the Sony Ericsson Open / Miami Masters 2012, one of the hot favourites and World Number 3 missed his flight to Miami.

although Federer was the hot favourite against Roddick, but the latter proved too tough this time and did not budge from his ground even after losing the second set to Federer 6-1 so easily. Roddick having won the first set 7-6, then went on to win the third set 6-4, cancelling Federer's flight to Miami for year 2012.

But what happened to Roddick thereafter is another story. Within 24 hours of the mighty win against Federer, came against tough resistance from Monaco. Although in first set Roddick did fight hard to lose at 5-7, the second set was a disaster when he could not win a single game and lost the match 5-7, 0-6.

Thus both Federer and Rodick are now booking their tickets back home, instead of going to Miami. That is sports !!

Roger Federer Vs Andy Roddick: Miami Masters 2012

Monday's encounter between Roger Federer and Andy Roddick is being seen as an earlier than expected and may upset the whole show, if there are any upsets, you know what I mean.

Federe vs Roddick: Are they meeting earlier than expected?
World Number 3 Swiss Roger Federer, the 16 time Grand Slam champion will be taking on former World Number 1 and his old rival after defeating the American Ryan Harrison in the second round in straight sets with a 6-2, 7-6.

Frederer is aiming to win the fourth ATP title of the season, provided all goes well after match with Roddick.

Roddick comes to meet Freder after eliminating his second round opponent Gilles Muller in straight sets with a 6-3, 6-2. However the World No 34 will have to play a very tough match Monday and will have to keep his wits about and concentrate on his game with full chargers on.

Who wins would time decide - but their previous perforamce of 27 encounters show a 23-3 win in Federer's favour. The last time they met was at the Basel Open quarter finalin 2011 and Federer easily overpowered Roddick 6-3, 6-2. Needless to say, Federer is hot favourite and is likey to have an easy sailing in to the quarters. I do not why then people are speculating the encounter between the two as earlier than expected?

The match Monday will be played at 23:30 GMT on Monday 26th March at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Miami.
