Federer vs Raonic: Wimbledon Semis | Watch Free Live Streaming - 4 July 2014

17 times Grand Slam winner Roger Federer of Switzerland takes on 23 years old Canadian Milos Raonic in his bid to win his 18th Grand Slam title on the Centre Court today.

Raonic, however, does not appear to be much impressed with the credentials of his opponent and says:

"I'm not playing a 32-year-old man. I’m not playing father of two sets of twins, which is a very low possibility I bet to do. I’m not playing the guy that’s won whatever he’s won, which I could probably list quite vividly. I’m playing a guy that is standing in my way of what I want to achieve, and I've got to focus on everything that’s there, on the situation, how best to deal with it to give myself the best possibilities to achieve what I want."

So this makes a tough match for aging Federer at 32 - but he too is not losing any hope and seems all set on course to his Wimbledon final showdown with Djokovic, who also plays his semi final today against Dimitrov.

The match between Federer and Raonic is being played on 4 July 2014 at 14:00 GMT at the Centre Court.

Arsenal brush aside Wigan Athletic to reach FA Cup final

The Gunners did it - they beat Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup semis on penalties to eye for the FA Cup after a drought of nine years. They last won the trophy in 2005.

The game was preceded by a minute's silence in memory of the 96 Liverpool fans killed in the Hillsborough disaster, which occurred during an FA Cup semi-final in Sheffield on April 15, 1989.

The match between Arsenal and Wigan remained goalless in the first half – it was Wigan’s Jordi Gómez who took the lead to score the first goal of the day for his team on a penalty in the 63rd minute of the match. However, the superiority was nullified by Gunner Mertesacker in the 82nd minutes. Thereafter, no one could overtake the other till the final whistle blew.

The match was therefore decided on penalties, which Arsenal won 4-2 amid a big roar from the crowd to qualify for the final.

For holders Wigan it was great setback, who had stunned the Citizens in last season's final to win the trophy and were looking forward to defend their title this year.

China's Li Na moved into the semi-finals of the WTA Championships for the first time with a 6-2 6-1 victory over Victoria Azarenka in Istanbul on Friday.

It was a bad day for the World number two Azarenka who due to back injury at 2-3 in the opening set needed on court treatment but later could not recover and lost the next eight games as Li.

Azarenka's unexpected exit from Istanbul allows Jelena Jankovic, who lost to Sara Errani, to meet Serena Williams in the semis.

In the second semis, Li will face Petra Kvitova on Saturday today, who beat Angelique Kerber on Friday.

Rafael Nadal v Tomáš Berdych : China Open - Semis | Watch Free Live Streaming - 5 October

So it is the semis at Bejing - world no.2 Rafael Nadal is all set to meet world no. 4 Czech Tomáš Berdych.

Nadal who is eyeing the world no.1 title is moving closer to his dreams of reaching final and beating third time Beijing champion Serbian Novak Djokovic.

However, in the meantime there are hurdles Nadal should cross as Berdych will look to delay Nadal’s return to the top of the ATP Rankings when he plays with Nadal for the 19th time on Saturday. Berdych trails their Head2Head series 3-15, including three losses this year. In their head to head status, Nadal remains unbeaten in their last fifteen encounters. Nadal last beat Berdych at Cincinnati this year in the semis 7-5 7-6(4).

In the meantime, Rafael Nadal is one win away from returning to World No. 1 ranking and seems in no mood to let this opportunity slip by easily. Already the Spaniard is looking to win his 11th title of the season. In 13 tournaments, he has only failed to reach the final once, losing in the first round at Wimbledon this year. His triumphs include Roland Garros, the US Open and five ATP World Tour Masters 1000 trophies.

This semi final is therefore very important for Nadal - If he wins this semi-final, he will return to World No. 1 for the first time since 3rd July 2011. Should Nadal lose before the final, Novak Djokovic must still win his fourth China Open crown to stay at the top for a 102nd week.

The match is scheduled for Saturday (05 October) 04:30 (GMT 0).

Serena Williams vs Na Li: US Open Semis | Watch Free Live Streaming - 6 September 2013

The US Open enters the semis phase and Friday tonight  world no.1 American Serena Williams plays against world no. 6 Chinese Na Li at the Arthur Ashe stadium.

Serena, just a year elder to Li, has played against her ten times since they first met at Australian Open first round in 2006. Of all the ten matches, Serena has won eight times. They recently met Cincinnati in the semis when Serena beat Li 7-5, 7-5  - a very closely contested match.

In her US Open matches, Serena has generally restricted her opponents to 6-1, 6-0s while Li found it really difficult to overpower Makarova losing the second set in the quarters 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-2.

Unless Li has plans to upset Serena, the American is all set on course to the finals and even win the US Open 2013 this year too.

Nadal vs Djokovic: Montreal Semis | Watch Free Live Streaming Online - 11 August 2013

World no.4 Rafael Nadal challenges three time Coupe Rogers champion and world no.1 Novak Djokovic in the semis tonight.

Earlier on Friday, Rafael Nadal beat Australian qualifier Marinko Matosevic 6-2, 6-4 in the Coupe Rogers quarter-finals on Friday evening. Djokovic, the top seed in Montreal, knocked off Richard Gasquet 6-1, 6-2, earlier this evening.

Rafael Nadal, who was victorious in Canada in both 2005 (d. Agassi) and 2008 (d. Kiefer), increased his hard-court winning streak to eight matches this year, having won the prestigious title in Indian Wells. Nadal is also currently riding a 28-1 run in ATP World Tour Masters 1000 matches, dating back to his title in Rome in 2012.

Nadal’s semi-final against Djokovic will be their 36th meeting, adding yet another chapter to their historic rivalry. The Spaniard prevailed in their most recent battle, a five-set semi-final thriller at Roland Garros. Djokovic won their only other encounter of the year, emerging victorious in straight sets for the Monte-Carlo title.

Wimbledon 2nd Semis: Murray vs Janowicz Watch Live Streaming Online Free | 5 July 2013

The second semifinal of Wimbledon 2013 is very crucial - it is Britain's Andy Murray trying to make history by moving in to the finals and even win it to bring an end to 77 years long drought for his country.

He is already in this fifth consecutive semis, Murray will face No. 24 6'8" tall Jerzy Janowicz of Poland on Friday.

It may be added that the first semifinals is being played between No. 1 Novak Djokovic of Serbia against No. 8 Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina.

Andy is on a winning streak and has won all of his last ten matches while Jancowicz has lost three matches at Rome, French Open and Halle this year.

Both players do not have a long rivalry on the court as they have met only twice with a 1-1 winning score. However, it was Jerzy Janowicz who beat Murray at Paris in the third round last year when the both met for the 2nd encounter.

So this match is more important for England and Murray to make history if Murray moves on the finals and win against Djokovic - but remember Djokovic beat Murray in the final of Australian Open this year 6-7(2) 7-6(3) 6-3 6-2, which was their last encounter. In fact Djokovic has beaten Murray in their last three encounters - so it would be luck for Murray to move on to the finals and face Djokovic with the support of local crowd to win Wimbledon this year.

But first the results of the semis on Friday.

The match is scheduled for Friday, 5 July 2013 at 14:30 GMT at the Centre Court

Wimbledon Semis: Watch Djokovic vs Del Potro Live Streaming Online Free | 5 July 2013

So that is it - the semis of the Wimbledon 2013 are here. On Friday the two semis between Djokovic-Del Potro and Murray- Janowicz are being played on the Centre Court.

In the absence of Nadal,Federer, Tsonga, Ferrer and Berdych, the tournament has lost some of its attraction - leaving behind Djokovic and Murray for apparant finalists.

The first semi between world no.1 Serbian Novak Djokovic and 8th ranked Argentinian Juan Martin Del Potro comes after the two had played eleven matches previously since they first met at US Open in 2007. Of these eleven encounters, Djokovic prevailed upon Potro 8-3 times.

However, its was Del Potro who beat Djokovic at Indian Wells this year in their 11th encounter in the semis 4-6 6-4 6-4 on the hard courts. Even on their sole grass court encounter in London Olympics 2012, Del Potro beat Djokovic to win the Olympic Bronze. And Djokovic may take advantage of Del Potro's ailing left knee and try to over stretch him to win the semis.

So it remains to be seen whether it is a repitition of the last year or  Djokovic overcomes his Del Potro phobia and qualifies for the final.

The match is scheduled for Friday, 5 July 2013 at 12:00 GMT at the Centre Court.

Sharapova beats Azarenka to reach French Open Final for likely date with Serena Williams

Defending champion and world no.2 Russian Maria Sharapova moved within one win of retaining her French Open title b beating former world no.1 Victoria Azarenka 6-1, 2-6, 6-4.

The score shows Azarenka striking back in the second set and winning, only to let the edge subside when she lost the third set to allow Sharapova carry the day.

Sharapova beat Errani in last year's final to complete her set of Grand Slam titles, and she will play in her eighth major final on Saturday.

Sharapova now sets a date with Serena Williams this year in French Open final - something she may not like as Serena has never let her win from her - at least in recent times.

Sharapova lost to Williams in finals of Madrid, Miami this year, while she lost to Williams in semis of Doha and finals of Istanbul and London last year.

Nadal — Pablo Andujar (ATP Madrid) Semis | Watch Live Free Streaming - 11 May 2013

Two-time former champion Rafael Nadal battled past David Ferrer on Friday to reach the Mutua Madrid Open semi-finals, where he will meet fellow countryman Spaniard  113th ranked wild card Pablo Andujar.

This is the only second time that the two are playing each other. Nadal met Pablo Andujar in the second round of the French Open in 2011 and won, though with lot of resistance and resilience shown by his opponent. Nadal won 7-5 6-3 7-6(4).

About today's match Andujar says:
"The favourite, of course, is him. I do believe I have more options playing in Madrid because it's a little bit faster. And playing two sets, you cannot tell who's the worst player. You don't see it so clearly. It's true that in two sets the one who's a little bit inferior has the possibility to give the surprise."

Nadal, the 2005 and 2010 champion in Madrid, has a 29-2 match record on the season. Returning to the ATP World Tour in early February, the Spaniard is looking to reach his seventh consecutive final (4-2 overall).

The match is scheduled for Saturday, 11 May 2013 13:30 GMT

It seems that Serena Williams, the world no.1 American is going to face Maria Sharapova, the world no.2 in the finals as both sail into the semis.

It may be added that Sharapova is just inches away from replacing Serena form her world no.1 position - IF she betters the American's showing in Spain.

Serena who is nearing 31 years now and who had not previously dropped a set, was given a scare by Spanish wildcard Anabel Medina Garrigues before winning 6-3 0-6 7-5.

Williams will now meet Italy's Sara Errani, who beat Russia's Ekaterina Makarova 6-4 6-3, in the semi-finals on Saturday.

As for the Roland Garros titilist Maria Sharapova, she  will meet Ana Ivanovic in the last four after the Serb's 6-3 6-1 win over Angelique Kerber.

Nadal to defend Monte Carlo title against Djokovic in the Final Sunday

Djokovic celebrates his win over Fognini in Monte Carlo Semis Today

As predicted, the outcome of the two semis was but obvious - that took Nadal and Djokovic to the final of the Monte Carlo.

In the first semi final, Spaniard Rafael Nadal took control of French Tsonga right from the start, taking the 6-3. However, Tsonga rebounded in the second set and made it difficult for Rafa to clinch the set much too easily. It was only after a determined effort by Tsonga that Rafa could win the second set 7-6(3)and the match 6-3, 7-6(3).

In the second set, it was Djokovic dominating all through over Fognini and won the match 6-2, 6-1. In the second set, Fognini seemed much in a hurry to call off the shots as he lost most of the points without any determined effort.

World no.1 Djokovic now faces the defending champion Nadal in the final Sunday tomorrow. Nadal is playing for his 9th consecutive title at Monte Carlo tomorrow. Would the Serbian let him do so?

See the match tomorrow.
